Hi I am 38 and had a complete hysterectomy a couple weeks ago. I am feeling great as had robotic, sore still, hormonol but ok. My Dr said pathology report said stage 1b, less than 50% invasion, no tx needed, paps every 3 months for 2 years. Is this normal to not do radiation? I am going to get actual report so I can read it myself but I can not stop worrying about microscopic cells. I have an intense fear of the Dr saying I am sorry you only have ---- months. I know this is crazy and I am sorry to bable but any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you know the GRADE of your cancer cells?
If your pathology shows any Grade 3 cells, which are the more aggressive recurrant kind, you may want to get a second opinion on additional treatment. But if you have a Grade 1 cancer, your chances of recurrance aren't as high as those of us with clear cell or papillary serous cell uterine cancer.

    thanks
Thanks, I am going for check up next week and am going to get a copy of path report to see the grade. My onco/gyn said it was only a 5% chance of recurrence but I would feel better knowing exactly what grade it is. Oh and also I have read several threads and have seen your posts and you are very positive and that is great. You made me feel better just reading your posts!!!!
