My mom has just been diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. Due to a back surgery that went very wrong, she is in a lot of pain, and has decided to forego treatment. I am afraid I only have a couple of months left with her. Not only is she my mom but she is my best friend. Any advice.

    Enjoy and live
    Your Mom has made her decision, whether or not you agree, support her and cherish the time you have left together. She may have more time than you think, get the positive going for her and for you. I have multipe health problems and as the Docs say I am living on borrowed time, well passed what they thought, I am 48 yrs old married with 5 grandchildren. I am on Hospice now but I have even suprised them ,because I just keep going. My wife and I live for today, I realize it is hard on her and she knows it is hard on me, butwe live we live with the positive and keep goiing, we live differently now, but we refuse to stop.
    Don't give up LIVE and help your Mom see the beauty in everyday, help her feel the positive support and love, let this time be one of enjoying each other and let the future bring what it will.

    Our prayers and best wishes are with you and your family.

    THANK YOU
    I do agree with her decision. It is hard to let go as she is my best friend. She has suffered for so long that she is ready to go. I am just not ready to let her go. I spend as much time with her as I can. I wish you the best and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I am so glad that you have your wife by your side. You are truly an inspiration and the world needs more people like the two of you.

    Being Human
    You sound as many have even myself that we are having the problem letting go. It is the human part of us and I wish you all the peace that you need. No one wants to let go so to speak, but we never do we keep memories and photos and words in our mind. Our loved ones are never that far, and if we think hard enough we can hear their response to a question we have, remember she will always rest in your heart and is a part of you... God bless you both and your families may your journey be of love, and life.......

    MOMENTS
    WHO AM I TO BE PASSING ON SUGGESTIONS WHEN I JUST JOINED YESTERDAY. I WOULD LIKE TO REMIND YOU NOT TO LOOK TO FAR INTO THE FUTURE. WE MUST STAY IN TODAY, RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. MOM IS STILL BREATHING RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW, CHERISH EVERY HOUR, EVERY SECOND, AND EVERY MOMENT THAT YOU CAN FEEL THE BLOOD AS IT FLOWS THRU HER BODY, YOU CAN TOUCH HER HEART WHILE IT BEATS EVER SO TENACIOUSLY, YOU CAN STILL HEAR HER VOICE,WATCH HER MOVEMENTS. ENJOY HER RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. EACH AND EVERY MOMENT.

    Your sentiments are absolutely on target, reflecting my own early-seventies Be Here Now-ish philosophy, but your capital letters are shouting. If you take the caps lock off the words become much easier to read :)

    I am 22 and i lost my mom
    I am 22 and i lost my mom july 10. its all **** up now. not fair, but **** what is???...my mom was my whole life. best friend,etc..... NO WORDS WILL HELP US. NO WORDS WILL DESCRIBE MY PAIN. I am destroyed and have no soul left yet there are positives..she will no longer suffer something she never EVER DESERVED. she was and is (she is still here, only physical left)the BEST MOM I COULD HAVE EVER ASKED FOR.

    YOUR DEAR MOMMY is STILL HERE ....BE WITH HER AND LOVE HER ALL THE TIME....ALL WE HAVE IN THIS WORLD IS APPRECIATION...WITHOUT IT WE ARE DOOMED.

    GOD BLESS AND PLZ KEEP ME UPDATED...I WILL PRAY FOR YOUR PAIN TO NOT OVERCOME YOU. If i was suicidal i would have left because i know what your going through--PAIN!!SO MUCH **** PAIN. I watched my older brother get murdered infront of my eyes _ PAIN , My mom was the only good thing left ..and now shes gone too. LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME...LIVE FOR THE MOMENT AND DAY .We are ALLL born to die. GOD BLESS YOU
  • About you Mother;
    My mother to has lung cancer. I have research the product Graviola Ntense and purchased enough for a year from Rain Tree Supplements. I communicated with the owner to get the dosage. She will start after chemo, even though they said she could take the product with chemo. I pray everything will be OK. I know God is in controll and I have left it in God's hand. All my prayers for this disease to just leave everyone infected with it. This has been a roller coaster ride. One thing I do is have mama on a nutritious diet, cell food drops and shitake matake. God Bless.
