Leslie,
I tried to PM you on this. I also tried to add you to my friends list but for some reason I can't do it.
You had mentioned that you go to the Huntsman Cancer Institute here in Utah. I am wondering what Onc you see and what you think of the place.
My husband has an appointment on the 28th of this month. Please get back with me. Thanks
Paula G.

    Huntsman
    Hi Paula

Thanks for getting in touch and nice for me to know that someone else is going to the Hunstman. My GI surgeon for the LAR surgery was Dr. Sklow and his team. Now that I know him better, I can overlook brusque bedside manner but I think he has excellent skills. I've had no problems since the surgery last early Sept and had a good checkup with him in June 09. My liver transplant surgeon was Dr Sorenson and his team, and again, I've had no problem since the liver resection (right lobe and gallbladder) in late Oct 09. Recovering from surgery at the Huntsman was awesome. Both times I was at U of Utah, where both of my surgeries were performed, for a bit before there was room at the Huntsman and I was transferred over. My husband and girlfriend could stay in the room at the Huntsman.

I'm scheduled for a PET/CT Aug 18 and Dr. Weis, my medical oncologist who does my second opinions, will read it Aug 19. I like his thorough approach and appreciate his focus on the latest research.

PS I'm not familiar with the PM functioon either :-)
and I live in Lander, WY

Let me know if you have more questions.
