I am currently on the oral chemo, Nexavar. I have stage IV neuroendocrine carcinoma of the pancreas. I am wondering if anyone else on this board is also taking this medication, regardless of type of cancer.

    Hello,

You may want to do a search of the CSN website to find others who have experience with Nexavar. To do this, type in Nexavar in the search bar at the top of this page. If you find someone you would like to share experiences with you can do so by sending an internal CSN email to that person. We wish you the best on your treatment.

    Kind regards,

    Your CSN Staff

    Hi NET,
My dad just started Nexavar, it was kind of an ordeal to get them to order this medication for him. I guess a lot of insurances dont cover it. He was taking avestin previously. I hope things are looking brighter for you.

    Glad to meet you!
I would be very interested in hearing your father's story. I have been on Nexavar since May of this year. When did he start taking it? Is he having to pay much out of pocket? My portion after insurance kicked in was going to huge. There is a program called Reach that is paying for my co-pay. All I have to pay is $78.26 each month. That was quite a relief. I had quite a few side effects for the first 6 weeks. Did he get a call from a Nexavar nurse with instructions on what to do at the first signs of side effects starting? My body has gottenn used to the med and I only have some minor side effects left. The drug has worked very well on my. It initially shrunk some of my tumors significantly and since then my tumors have been stable.
