Colon cancer patients not getting follow-up care

Wow
That is frightening! My cea went up to 3.5 which prompted a scan all within 5 months of completing treatment. I went from stage III to IV in that time. This is exactly why I am so proactive with my healthcare and push for more all the time. I'm a pain in the neck to my docs, I'm sure, but I get a better quality of care. Do you think they're afraid of me? LOL

Kimby, I am sure your doctors appreciate your willingness to be involved in this battle. It keeps them on their toes and lets them know you are COMMITTED to beating this beast! If not, find another doctor! We don't have a lot we can control in this battle, but keeping on top of what's out there is one thing we CAN do. Good luck and God be with you.
