Hello,

My father lives in Mongolia and he has been diagnosed with lung cancer. But they sent him home because they can't do anything for him. So basically he has no hope. Any advice? I do cry and pray everyday that we would be blessed to bring him to US to get him treated. Does anyone know what I should do?

Thanks

I hope this will help your Father. On your computer search for Dr. Budwig's remedy. He must eat everyday1/3cup of Nonfat cottage cheese 2 tablespoon of flaxseed oil. And be sure they are mixed very well as one . Add 2 tablespoon of crushed flaxseed. Add some fruit that he might like. I use canned pineapple in it's own juice. And a few walnuts. Do not use sugar. Dr. Budwig died last year but it is said that she saved a lot of people dying of all kinds of Cancer. God Bless you and your Father My new Mongolia friend. And Good Luck! Cuddles

I'm so sorry to hear about your father's situation. It's awful that nothing could be done at home or the doctors refuse to. Are you absolutely certain that there are no doctors anywhere close who are willing to treat him? Treatment is always an option. Your father shouldn't give up just because some doctors refuse treatment. He should find other doctors, if possible. If that isn't reasonable or plausible, is it out of the question for him to go to China perhaps for treatment? I don't know the logistics of insurance or such. However, I would think that medical services in China aren't expensive, especially in comparison with Western medical services. In fact, some Americans are increasingly seeking medical services in Asia (e.g., India & Thailand) for the more affordable costs and more experimental treatments that aren't constrained by the bureaucracies of our FDA regulations.

I think you should try researching around to look for other medical options from other countries, if it has to come to that. Your father shouldn't have to accept the do-nothing fate.

Having said all that, you might have your dad try the macrobiotic diet that a member here detailed. I believe her name is Emily. She has been a 5-year survivor. My additions to the diet are dietary supplements such as selenium (suggested 200 mcg), at least a garlic clove a day (must chop or crush the garlic and then let it rest for at least 10 minutes for the sulfur compounds to develop), tumeric (an ingredient for curry), green tea, cruciferous vegetables (e.g., broccoli, cabbage, kale, bok choy, etc.) - with at least 5 servings of vegetables and fruits, carrots, ginger, to name a few. Salmon has lots of good properties, so eat that at least twice a week. (Mackerel and tuna also have the healthy omega-3's but salmon is relatively toxin-free.) Exercise helps the body in many ways so have your father exercise as much as he can tolerate. (My mother initially resisted because of fatigue but her energy has increased enough that she takes short walks twice a day.) Some people advise to drink at least 8 glasses of water to help the body expel toxins. That doesn't seem critical to me, but it certainly doesn't hurt so I've been getting my mom to drink more. Increase the fiber in his diet as well by eating whole grains.

Foremost, if your father is a smoker, have him STOP. He must avoid nicotine at all cost.

    I wish your father recovery.

Thank you so much for your advice. Unfortunately, I don't know what flaxseed oil is. Can you find it in stores easily here in US? I have never seen any thing like that in Mongolia. I really hope that they would be able to find cottage cheese there too. But thank you again for your encouragement. I am learning so much about cancer. May God bless you too! Dagii
