Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing well. I have some good news to share with all of you. My dad's CAT scan was totally clear and the spots on his liver are gone!!! I was totally amazed to hear this news and wasn't expecting this. The oncologist said that there still may be some micro cancer cells that are too tiny to be picked up by the scan, but all in all, I think this is great news!!! It has been a very difficult last few weeks, but I know God has gotten my family through it. I never gave up on him. I thank all of you for all of your prayers and support. I think it truly helped. I know that there is still a good chance that the cancer will return, but I will keep praying that my dad will be totally healed.
As for my mom, she went to her doctor yesterday and he said that she suffered a pretty significant heart attack, however, has recovered well from it. He said that she has regained most of her heart function back and that the tissue they initially thought was dead has begun to start working again. What a blessing!!!
Thanks again to all of you for your prayers. I don't know what I would do without you guys. You are always in my prayers.
God bless you all,
-Lee-

P.S. Remember how worried you were about dad with mom in hospital...sometimes it takes a team like those two to get thru the tough stuff! -
What type of chemo was he on? How many spots did he have on his liver and how large were they? Did he have chemo before and was it effective? Just way curious as my hubby has had 2 rounds of traditional stuff, then avastin alone, now avastin and xeloda, initial shrinkage, nothing since, just small growth between experiments. Good thing is he feels great and isn't slowing down at all.
