Hi Doug - welcome to this board. I was diagnosed with rectal cancer Dec 02. I had chemoradiation followed by surgery in April 03 (resulting in permanent colostomy) then 4 mos chemo (I am stage 3). I also recently had a colonoscopy (and CT scan and ultrasound of liver) and all was clear - yea! Best wishes to you.

  • Hi Doug from two more folks living in California (southern), although not natives.

I'm Monika, caregiver to my husband Bert diagnosed July 2003 state III, four nodes infected. Went on 4 months of 5fu/leuc followed by an additional 6 months of 5fu/leuc/oxal and so far, so good (knock wood and prayers to God above).

Am thrilled to hear that you are doing well too and here's to continuing to do so for everyone on this board.
