Hi there- Sorry that you are feeling down today. I can sympathize, as I have been a bit achy and tired than expected.

Hang in there, and try to take it a day at a time. I find sometimes it is helpful to write down my feelings in a journal, then I can forget it more easily. Trying to get out for a walk helps too.

Take care,

Stay as positive as you can, it can help..for some
encouragement, read "It's Not The Bike" by Lance Armstrong, and/or The Power Of Intention" by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer.
I found that if I could force even a little bit of
exercise daily during chemo, it seemed to provide reassurance that I was "OK" .. hang in there, it will get better. Bud

hi there. sorry your so down but i can certainly understand that. i struggle with that as well. there are times everything piles up and it just gets to you. the thing if find though is that it is only for a time and then it passes and i find i am a bit stronger after those down times. i pray it will not last long for you and easier days are ahead of you. somehow everything will work out just the way it is supposed too.

take care

Hi, Sorry to hear you are feeling down, but it sounds like it's been a heck of a 2 months for you. This disease causes roller coaster emotions even during relatively "good" times. As others have said, we all go through this, but riding out the bad times comes with this territory.
I found that just giving in to no expectations for a day or so wasn't so bad; meet a friend, read a book, take a walk at a local pretty spot and know that you will feel more positive soon.
The nurses at my onc's office seemed to know just what to say on my blue days, keep them posted.
Hoping you feel better, Judy

Hiya again Fed. Hope you read my post to you a coupla posts down.
Hey--everything just keeps mounting up on you and then the bad days really hit!!
I was stage 11/surg. aug 03/then 6 months of chemo(same as you )--I am now 4 months in rem. and things are looking brighter!!!THIS is what you are aiming for!!!!!and the day will come when you are able to look back on the bad days PAST!
Your reactions to date are very normal--the chemo/surgery and all the other things can really make things feel hopeless---you WILL get good and bad days Fed.Of course we all say be positive--do not worry--it is our support for you that tells us to do that no matter how hard it seems for you to grasp those words.Remember--we have all been there--we all know the "down" you are feeling right now.Do anything you can to take your mind off these worries--easier said than done , I know.
Put "trivial" things aside and concentrate on how well you feel today and how much better you will feel tomorrow/next week/6 months. You will get there!
Jen and I saw a therapist to help us get thru all this and believe me it helped big time.
Our very best---kanga n Jen

Hey, know exactly how you feel. I don't think there is a single person on this board, caregiver or colon cancer survivor alike, who isn't down every once in a while. We are all entitled. The important thing is not to stay down and not loose sight of the fact that you will put up the best fight that you can and there's a good chance of beating this thing. Have faith in yourself and in God and things will look better tomorrow.

Hang in there, don't give up, and watch a funny movie or a comedy show. It will make you laugh and laughter is a good thing.
