Does anyone have any positive things to report about stem cell transplants? My Mom's friend went through chemo last year and now, according to her doctor, she needs a stem cell transplant due to a recurrence of Hodgkin's.I thought I might forward some good news to her. Thanks for any help.

I'm a 45 year old survivor of a stem cell transplant due to recurrent Hodgkins. It was a tough road, but I am still here alive and kicking and able to talk about it. Tell your friend's mom to e-mail me. I'd be happy to talk with her.

My neighbor had a stem cell transplant. He was at Heaven's door a couple times prior to that because things were so bad. Since his stem cell transplant he is like a new man. Life seems very good for him now. Thank God for modern medicine.

I am 21 now but when I was 18 I was told that my hodgkin's was back for the forth time in four years. it turned out that my cancer was chemo resistant and without a stemcell transplant I only would have 6 months to live. Now I am 21, I am married to a wonderful man, and I live right outside of Honolulu.
