hi there all, my name is Charlene. I had stage 4 NHL. I had tumors in ovaries, kidney, liver, and up and down aorta. Also NHL in bones and in lymph nodes. In remission now for 7 months. Thank God and my miracle worker of a doctor. I am developing allergies that I never had before. Has anyone had something similar or would like to know what else anyone has had different. I am very interested. Thanks for listening and God Bless everyone. I am also known as nikkismom in cancer chat.

I had Burkitts Lymphoma which is a type of NHL. I've found that I now have food allergies that I've never had before--especially nuts. My oncologist said it wasn't unheard of to develop allergies after chemo.

Hi to all... I am in a survivor of Burkitts State 4. My tumor was removed 9/5/01 and was followed with 4 months of chemo. Wondering if any of you are experiencing the following.... strong sense of smell, leg pain that comes and goes, and at least once a week flu like symptoms. I am curious but of course so thankful to be alive that I can deal with this.

Hi, there are a lot of us survivor's of Burkitt's. I was also stage 4 and have been in remission for 6 months. I have a lot of joint pain, especially in my hips and feet. My doctor told me to take Tylenol. I also developed cataracts from the Prednisone, which have now been removed and I see better than I have since I was a kid. My white count is still low, but my energy is pretty good thanks to my exercize program (Curves) and eating healthy. I hope we all stay in remission.
