I might be late to this discussion. But are there any people out there that were doing really well on this stuff and then were told that they can't take it anymore? My father is now in Chemo and is doing so badly. He has severe arthritis and going through all the side-effects of Chemo. Could the PC-Spec have been worse than what he is going through now? Who is responsible for taking this off the market? Doctors? Insurace companys? I feel so angry and sad. I just want information.

    Hi,
The product is PC-SPES with a "S" not a "C" and here's a very good article as to why it was pulled from the market:

Scroll down to near the bottom.
    Wishing you the best, Benji

It's PC-SPES, AND YES, I WAS TAKING IT AND IT WAS HELPING ME CONTAIN PROSTATE CANCER. IT WAS TAKEN OFF THE MARKET BECAUSE OF IMPURITIES (WARFERIN IN PARTICULAR) BUT IT IS AVAILABLE UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME WITHOUT THE IMPURITIES (PC-HOPE)AND I AM STILL TAKING IT. MY CANCER HAS BEEN CONTAINED FOR GOING ON EIGHT YEARS. I HAVE HEARD SOME TESTIMONIALS THAT IT HELPED EVEN WHEN THE CANCER HAD METASTICIZED, BUT I AM NOT SURE IT WASN'T HYPE. I HAVE ALSO HEARD THAT AT THE MEDICAL CENTER IN WINSTON SALEM NORTH CAROLINA, LARGE DOSES OF SELENIUM WITH VITAMIN E HELPED IN ADVANCED CASES. YOU MIGHT DO A GOOGLE SEARCH TO GET MORE INFORMATION. INCIDENTALLY, THE SCIENTISTS WORKING ON PC-HOPE ARE PART OF A TEAM AT HARVARD. GOOD LUCK.

PC-SPES contained DES, Warfarin, Indocin and estrogen - all prescription drugs. The California Depart of Health found these drugs and the company closed down. The makers pleaded "no contest" to a felony and were fined $500,000. Many of the men that were damaged by the product and some of the surviving widows who believe the product killed them are now filing numerous law suits - in the hundreds of millions, against the company, its officers and directors and many of the doctors who pushed the product.

Without a doubt, it sounds like someone has steered you into a "snake oil" treatment regimen. No reputable clinic I'm aware would ever use PC-SPES or HOPE-related anything for cancer treatment.

I suggest you hook up with a major, nationally-known, non-profit cancer center that relies on research-based treatment protocols and routinely administers chemotherapy along with multiple drugs that now exist to reduce toxic side effects. In the following order, I'd suggest M.D. Anderson-Houston (my choice) or M.D. Anderson-Orlando, Sloan-Kettering, and Mayo. Also, the "arthritis" you mentioned sounds like classic symptoms of bone metastases.

    Good Luck,
