I was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, in january,2003. Would like to talk with anyone who has any experience with it.I've read all the pamphlets, that I could find, but need help with the emotional side of it, without going to support meetings. Thanks

Hi Jam! You need to email carste on this site. You can look her up on the user directory for the correct spelling! :) I am going to lunch with her tomorrow! I met her in the chat room, imagine our surprise when we discovered that we both live in Louisville, KY! I will tell her to get in her and look for your message also. She has CLL too. I have ALL, the stinkier kind. I spent 17 weeks in the hospital last year, but life is good and many good things have out of my journey with cancer! I would be happy to help you any way I can. I HIGHLY recommend getting in the chat room. It is like group therapy. There are people in there from all over the world, think Australia, the USA, with all different types of cancers. We are a family, and we help each other over the bumps and thru the rough patches. We also pray for each other and keep up with how each is doing. It truly is amazing. Personally, I see a psychologist, but this has been helpful in ways that that kind of counseling could not meet. I will look for you on! Best of luck and feel free to email me on this site!

My dad was diagnosed with B cell chronic lymphcytic leukemia in February 2003. I know what you mean with the emotional support, and I would be interested in talking to you.

Hi sweber, sorry to hear about your dad. How's he doing? Are they treating him? How are you doing? Do you live with your dad? Let me know if I can help.Have a blessed day.

Hi..I guess we're in the same boat. My husband was diagnosed about 6months ago..watch & wait..now his spleen is enlarged & he's going to start treatment in 2wks..I cry every day..just found this support group..I hope we can keep each other company?? Doctor says if your going to have cancer then this is one of the ones to have. BS..cancer is cancer!
