I am new to this site and am looking for other who are cancer patients like me. As you all know no one can imagine what we have gone through unless you have been there. I am looking for people to share my experiences with and emotions. Hope that is ok. I was diagnosed in Aug of last year while 8 months pregnant with my son. I found a lump in my neck, near my collarbone. It was removed and on Aug 20th I was given the news. Alot changed for me that day. I spent Sept thru Feb undergoing NASTY CHEMO and have just completed 10 days of radiation with 10 to go. So far all is well. I am doing better and have good days and bad days. Mostly good though now that chemo is behind me.

Thanks for your reply. Today was number 17 of 20 radiation treatments. I feel ok, just tired. I hate being tired for no reason at all. I don't feel anywhere near the way I did when I had chemo. With that I felt bad for a week . I am having a party to celebrate when all this is over. It has been a long road, one I haope I don't have to travel anymore.......Stephanie Hall

    hi,
I'm a little bit ahead of you, but can still relate to what you're going through. I was fortunate that I only had to have 3 chemo's, but still had to have the 20 radiations. It killed a saliva gland in the process, so I have to drink a lot of water to compensate. I think in my personal situation that the radiation kinda zapped my energy level, and It's still not what it was prior to the radiation. Anyway, good luck with your treatment, and if you want to talk I'm here...Bob Carter

I found out that I had NHL the day that I gave birth to my daughter in October 2001. The only reason they found it is because the tumor was on my ovary. They thought it was a fibroid until my C-Section. I went through 6 rounds of CHOP chemo and Rituxan and have been in remission since. It is hard going through treatments with a new-born. I hope you are doing well now.
