Hello,
Right now all I can give is in God, because there is nothing else I can really do. I am 22 years-old and my 56 year-old mother has stomach cancer. I am very sad at this point, I think my whole family, even our friends are going through a rough time, but I know my dear mother is having the worst time. I would love for her to see me finish grad school, get married, and see my kids in the future, so I am praying for her recovery, the doctors only removed her parts of her small intestine to stop blockage in the stomach. Right now we are waiting for her to recover from surgery so that she may receive chemo or some other therapy, the doctors could not remove her stomach, the cancer was in a lot of vital organs. If any of you guys know a good therapy please inform me, until then and after then I will just continue to pray, God bless you and your families.

Hello. I am a cancer survivor. I had my esophagus and part of my stomach removed in 1998. I don't know anything other then what you wrote but I offer this advice.

First, treat your mother like you always did. She needs your love, smiles, and support more than anything else. I wanted happy people around me not a group of sad sacks. I know it's hard but you have to find the courage.

Second, find the best doctors you can. If you are in an area that does not have a lot of resources then you will need to search for the best in the business. Ask your doctor: If this was you, where would you seek treatment and what doctor would you want.

Third, find out what you mother wants. Quality of life, quantity of life, etc?

I am a 55 year old father of two sons ages 24 and 22. All I want for my sons is for them to have as good a life as I have had. Knowing your children are secure is all a good parent wants. Let your mom know that you're all right.

My sisters father in law just been diagnosed with stomach cancer. He has had prior health issues, but mostly his heart. Dr's now have diagnosed that on top of his other health issues. I myself survived colon cancer, but I am wondering if someone can tell me more about stomach cancer.
    Thanks.

    Hello

My husband, had part of his esophagus and all of his stomach removed. This was in Aug. of 2003. I am trying to find out some information. I was wondering if maybe you can help since you can relate. I have some ?'s My questions are about diahrea it seems that he was doing okay, between Nov. and Dec. He has had 3 dilations. The 3rd one really worked, because he has been able to eat and swallow food like normal. Since than he has had Diahrea, about 4 or 6 times a day. He is unable to leave the house. or gain any kind of weight. He has had radiation and Chemo back in May,2003 It seems that everything he eats or drinks come straight through. He is unable to gain any weight. he was at 220 when was diagnosed, which was in Jan,2003. he is now down to 124. He is very depressed, very uncomforable, unable to gain any weight or even go anywhere. Please if you or anyone can suggest anything please let us know.

we had seen the Drs, this thursday that just passed. He basically said that he will be like this for the rest of his life. I can't believe that. I know there is someone out there that has some kind of advise, or suggestions. Can someone please respond. Thank you .

I have read quite a few stories on this web. it seems that no One has talked about there bowel movements and how it has affected them. Is this normal, i don't think so. I just am unable to understand how anyone can live with Diahrea. I think the DRS. sometimes don't know what to do about this and just give medications to help.

PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP. VERY VERY DESPERATE.

MY HUSBAND IF LOSING STILL.... WE ARE IN REMISSION BUT, HE IS STILL LOSING THE BATTLE......

    THANK YOU
