My husband was diagnosed with lung cancer with brain mets in Feb. this year.one round of chemo did no good, had 20 brain radiation and now 2 weeks so far of chest radiation, He got really bad with the brain radiation but he seems to be making some progress with the chest radiation. has anyone been there and what can we expect?

If the chemo is not working, make sure that it is small cell, and please get another opinion, I did at a place that does the studies, because they have more options for medications. Start right now looking for clinnic trials, especially before they give a second line chemo, because sometimes they do not except second line chemos, they are doing studies for hard tumors with that new drug gleevac, and they got very good response, what ever you do......do not give up!
