32 year old male...27 year survivor of Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, Null cell

Hi, My name is Freddie, I am 27 year survivor of ALL. I am new to this site. I will give a few brief details of when I was diagnosed, and the amount of time I was on chemotherapy, I am not sure if the amount of time is the same today as it was in 1981. I was diagnosed on August 27, 1981. I was put in to remission in September of 1981. I underwent 3 years of chemotharpy. I am here to give support and to talk to current cancer patients, and I would also like to talk to and have discussions with survivors about how the treatment schedule is different today than it was 1981. I would also like to know if the same medications are still given today. I am going to include my personal email at the end of this message if you would like to contact me please feel free to do so.

You can refine your search by clicking on the different categories of content listed below the list of keyword matches that you get from your search.     Freddie,
    I am so glad I found you. My nephew was diagnosed with ALL two years ago at the age of 2. He will be starting his first day of public school in August of this year and we are all SO proud of him. His Leukemia was gone one week after they first started treatment and it has not returned yet. We are hopeful that this remains the same and he can go on to have a full healthy life. Your personal story gives me hope that it is possible and I thank you greatly for sharing it with us.

    24 yr old with phil-ALL
    I was diagnosed with ALL in March o6, started chemo right away, went into remission in June 06. Continued chemo to make sure the lukemia was gone. This past April I had a CNS relapse (cenral nervous system), I had an Ommaya Reservoir implanted in my head to administer chemo. The chemo that they were putting through the Ommaya caused me to have "Seizures" because of the toxicity, which also caused brain damage. We, me and my family, came to MD Anderson for treatment and a stem cell transplant. When we got there we found out that I was "misdiagnosed", we found out that I Philadelphia strain of ALL. Which is known to relapse easily. If you have any words of encouragement to share it would be helpful! Thanks!

    I was diagnosed two year's ago WITH CLL, I am at a loss and don't understand it .I have read all kinds of info on it and don't know if I should worry about it or just go on with my life...I have had changes but do not know to blame all my ailments on the CLL or what.
