Narrative
EXAM: CT-ABDOMEN & PELVIS W CONT, CT-CHEST W CONTRAST
INDICATION: Malignant neoplasm of the left kidney
COMPARISON: January 5, 2018
TECHNIQUE: Standard per department protocol following the administration 100 mL Omnipaque 350 intravenous contrast. Up-to-date CT equipment and radiation dose reduction techniques were employed.
FINDINGS:
Scout: No additional abnormality.
CHEST:
Lungs and tracheobronchial tree: The central airways are patent. No suspicious pulmonary nodules.
Pulmonary arteries: The pulmonary arteries are not enlarged.
Mediastinum: No mediastinal or hilar lymphadenopathy. The heart and great vessels are normal.
Thyroid gland: Normal.
Esophagus: Normal.
Chest wall: Normal.
ABDOMEN/PELVIS
Liver and biliary system: Hepatic steatosis. No focal hepatic lesions. The gallbladder is grossly normal without biliary ductal dilation.
Spleen: Normal.
Adrenal glands: Normal.
Pancreas: Normal.
Genitourinary: Postsurgical changes from partial left nephrectomy. No evidence of recurrent or residual neoplasm. There is an ill-defined hypodense lesion in the right kidney measuring 1.4 x 1.0 cm with average Hounsfield unit measurement of 7 consistent with a cyst. No renal calculi. No hydronephrosis. The bladder is normal. The prostate and seminal vesicles are normal.
Bowel: The small and large bowel are normal in caliber. No bowel wall thickening. The appendix is normal.
Abdominal wall: Normal.
Peritoneal cavity: No free or loculated fluid collections are seen.
Vasculature: No aneurysm.
Lymph nodes: No lymphadenopathy is appreciated.
Osseous structures: No suspicious abnormality.
