    Safe home?

Hi Sandy, I hope by now you are back in your own home on the road to recovering and increased strength every day.  Yes, the open partial is tough.  I pray you have good support surrounding you from family and friends as I did.  Take care

It was cancerous. A 3.4C cyst

It was cancerous. A 3.4C cyst. A few more months it would have spread even at that size. Another miracle for Sandy!

Thanks all. I’ve had a tough week of pain. I hope iceman is right on the 2 week period getting better each day after. I have been so fortunate with my neighbours bringing supper over. Three people did that this past week. I feel the pain subsiding a bit today. What a ride that was! We all do it though.....keep up the strength.

    two weeks seems to be...

the magic number. It gets better by leaps and bounds after that. Hope you are feeling those leaps Sandy!

    Sounds like you are making

Sounds like you are making progress.  I think it was around the 2 week mark that I started to feel much better.  Still somewhat sore and somewhat limited with what I can do physically, but much better.  Recliner was a huge life saver for me.  Bought one 3 weeks before my surgery and it's paid for itself already.  Makes it so much easier to get comfy and easy to get up and out of.

Recliner is the key to sleeping that’s for sure. I’m feeling a bit better each day now so that’s keeping me optimistic. Now, if I can get back to my weekly bingo next week I’ll be one happy lady.  lol

    Six Weeks Out

...and I can sleep on my side again!  It gets better!  At this point, my only issues are intermittent pain around my big incision (I'm assuming it's the nerves and muscles doing their thing to heal), numbness all around the big incision (HATE that), and I do wear out very easily.  Been going to work for half days, leaving around 2:00 or 3:00....and I HAVE to take a nap when I get home every day.  But, those are all minor things, considering....so I'm not complaining.  I hope your recovery continues to go fast and well.
