There is no scientific evidence that supports cure of prostate cancer with rso, a form of medical marijuana.

Gleason  8 is considered to be aggressivee. In your case with Gleason 8 found in 10 of 12 cores this may be considered extensive. It is very possible that the cancer has escaped the prostate. A bone scan is reommended by the american medical association for men with Gleason 8 and above. Did you have any other diagnostic tests, ie images?

RP done when there is a reduced amount of cancer, will still leave cancer , and other treatment will still be required for cure. The side effects of each treatment is cummulative. Why not simply have hormone along with a form of radiation for cure( the peimeter of radiation treatment can be adjusted to be outside the prostate) , or if warrented solely hormone treatment

RP might do the job depending on where the cancer is located.  If it's near the edge of the Prostate(maybe some escape) then some form of Radiation treament might be better.  If the cancer is deep within the Prostate then surgery would work.

The above statement "RP done when there is a reduced amount of cancer, will still leave cancer , and other treatment will still be required for cure" is false.  Many people have been cured by surgery if the cancer is contained within the prostate. If it has escaped that's a different story.  I don't know of any benefit of RSO to cure or destroy cancer cells.

I'm surprised that their is a mainstream study combining conventional drugs and RSO.   No studies in history have suggested that RSO is at all effective against PCa, although it may relieve some side-effects.  By "studies" I mean scientifically sound, academic studies, run by a university cancer center.   I can find "studies" on the internet that claim women are impregnated by aliens, but they are not "scientific."  You see my point.

I had RP, but your cancer sounds advanced and most likely spread. Generally, surgery is not recommended for likely metastatic diesase.  But as Cleveland noted, there are some success stories in that area.  I would get to a good radiation oncologist and proceed with curative radiation, which would be called either "IMRT" or "IGRT".  This would most likely be combined with HT (hormonal therapy).

You are at a level of danger in which the usual "no need to hurry" does not apply.  And side-effects cannot be paramount.  You need a curative modality begun soon in my layman's opinion,
