NO ADDITIONAL TREATMENT NEEDED!

I finally received the pathology report from my hysterectomy on Jan.  11th.  The past two weeks have felt like two years, LOL!  Endometrioid type, grade one, confirmed. It was a tiny tumor. Less than 25% invasion of myometrium. All other tissue, including sentinel lymph nodes, negative for carcinoma!  Stage 1a, no additional treatment needed!

You  all have been so kind, supportive, and courageous. I will always be grateful for having found this site. Thank you all for welcoming me and helping me.

Now we just have to get Mr B through his treatment, 40 external beam radiation sessions will begin in early March.

    MrsBerry...congratulations

on the fantastic news. Your dx sounded similar to my pathology report. I have a question? Did your pathology report say you had LVSI (lymphovascular invasion present)?

Mine did, and I"ve been told no further treatment is required but just 3 month check ups...

I do not see that exact

I do not see that exact wording, but my report has something called Angiolymphatic Invasion, which sounds like the same thing but different naming convention.  It was Absent/none identified in my report. I hope that helps.

    mine had the same wording

mine had the same wording angiolymphatic invasion as known as LVSI...but mine showed present not absent and yet my oncologist said no treatments required...im thinking of a second opinion...

again congratulations!! stay strong! keep smiling...
