    Thanks, Phil!

That was an very good chart, and now I'm off to Amazon.com to look for some new toothpaste.

Ever since chemo, toothpaste burns my tongue. I'm forever looking for something that doesn't, maybe one of these will help.

Edit: I settled for the Dr. Bronners. I use the castile soap and know they work really hard to keep everything safe for the body.  I was looking for the Minty Sweet Orange, but Amazon doesn't have it.

    Tom's of Maine children's

Tom's of Maine children's toothpaste is the only one I've found available in stores that doesn't burn.

    Some of the natural

Some of the natural toothpastes have an anise flavour that doesn't burn.  I can't use mint because I have an autoimmune condition called erosive lichen planus (ick) that causes my mouth to erupt in uncontrollable sores if I use mint toothpaste. The anise is no problem for me.

    Funny, I read about the

Funny, I read about the chemical in Colgate and switched recently.  Coglate is the biggest offender and is using a chemical banned around the world including the US.  They fought to keep it in their toothpaste.  I'm using Dr. Bronner's.  I brought it to my dentist for approval.  He suggested that I also use Act mouthwash which is mild but contains flouride because my teeth didn't do well without flouride.  Just don't swallow it.

Tom's of Maine is now owned

Tom's of Maine is now owned by Colgate and contains the cancer causing chemical.  Try Dr. Bronner's, it's very mild and at the top of the organic list.  Check with your dentist though about not getting flouride.  The organic toothpastes do just fine because they use oils that replace flouride but my teeth got white spots so we added in Act mouth wash.  I just rinse and am careful not to swallow any.

    toothpaste-Jason Sea Fresh toothpaste
I found Jason Sea Fresh Toothpaste to be a mild paste and the ingredients are:

Calcium Carbonate, Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil, Carrageenan, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (1), Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Powder, Carum Petroselinum (Parsley) Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Chlorella Pyrenoidosa Extract, Perilla Ocymoides Seed Extract, Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf/Stem Extract, Silica, Sodium Bicarbonate
    (1) Certified Organic Ingredient

It did not contain those chemical found in this article (below) about cancer and toothpaste or an additive called titanium dioxide that may cause cancer. It is commonly referred to as E171.

There is an article about toothpaste found at

It refers to the 7 Toxic Toothpaste Ingredients:

    Triclosan.
    Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)
    Artificial Sweeteners.
    Fluoride.
    Propylene Glycol.
    Diethanolamine (DEA)
    Microbeads.

I hope this helps, my experience has been good in terms of Jason's Sea Fresh toothpaste it is mild and didn't bother me I bought it at Harris Teeter grocery store.  Brian

Thanks for the heads-up about flouride. I don't use mouthwash, but I may give it a whirl. I will also talk to my Dentist. I have gnarly teeth. They did not like the chemo.

UPDATE:  BURN! My mouth was not happy with the Flouride mouth wash. Felt like I'd put hot coals in my mouth.
