CheeseQueen checking inn

It appears I'm trouble forming my words. I'm in the hospital being investigated a possible TIA. Good news CT scan clear. MRI in the morning. My cancer hospital but I'll just have to deal. Hope don't screw up my port. Keep you posted. Chemo-the gift the keeps on giving. No chemo for me tomorrow.

I remember the memory and
I remember the memory and language issues I had with chemo. I was looking right at my boss and the thought flew right out of my mind. He knew how frustrated it would make me - I remember crazy, wicked stuff - and held out his hand to say, "Hi, my name is Brad". It could be misconstrued as mean, but I had to laugh about it. Chemo is powerful stuff for sure!
Here is hoping your issues are nothing major - please let us know how you are doing.

Oh dear! I hope the MRI goes
Oh dear! I hope the MRI goes well. Ahh chemo and memory:(. I realized yesterday that I had an episode. I was shopping at a tjmaxx yesterday and had just 2 items in my basket. I totally forgot that I had anything in there. Thank goodness I just pushed the cart back to the other carts and left! What if I'd just pushed the cart outside to my car! Someone would have been bailing me out of jail! Keep us posted; were praying for you!

(((Susan))) That is awful!!!
(((Susan))) That is awful!!! Let us know how the MRI turns out. I don't think most people realize how powerful those chemo cocktails are and the damage they can cause. My doctor thinks I had a hemorrhagic stroke. All I know is that it has caused some big time brain, nerve and muscle problems. I hope everything is ok!!!!
Love,
Eldri

Higher risk of stroke after cancer diagnosis

Thanks Eldri
Thanks for this article. I believe my hypertension and hyperlipidemia, although well controlled, and my history of migraine aura , pre diabetes put me at risk, despite my age (58). I was lucky just minor speech effects this time and might not be so lucky next time. Definitely discussing this with oncologist and neurologist. I tried to discuss with my current neurologist (migraine auras) but he didn't do anything. Time to change neulogists. Excuse mistakes.

Stop Apologizing!
Sorry! I know that heading sounds harsh! But this is for others on this site, too.
We're all dealing with a lot and come here for information and support and no one should feel like they need to apologize for negative feelings, spelling errors, or whatever treatment decisions they choose to make! No apologies needed. This ride is a roller coaster and we are all each others safety net. Feel free to share whatever with us and we'll be there with you as you are here for us.
CheeseQueen, I'm in awe that you have been sharing this as it's been happening to you! Here's hoping that all of the typing is excercizing your brain where you were affected by the stroke and is therapeutic for your recovery. Spelling and grammar mistakes happen to all of us without the excuse of having had a stroke. Keep the updates coming! God Bless!
