My mom had a non cancerous brain tumor removed when she was 58 years old. She is alive and well today, with very little that would indicate she even had brain surgery, this was 17 years ago! She is clear headed and doing better than ever before! Don't lose hope that your mom will have the same positive outcome! I am praying for you and your mom!

Don't worry.  I am a 53 year old women and I have had two brain surgeries.  Doctors are really knowledgeable.     After the last craniotomy, I was able to get up and

walk out of the room the next day.
