Finally back with an update

Hello all.  I have been MIA for a bit.  Had a slow healing keyhole wound which became infected.  Then developed some extensive pain in the area of that infection.  After getting out of my car and feeling a terrible RIPPING sensation in that area and extensive pain for many hours, it was determined to be adhesions.

Now, about that 5.5 cm tumor that became 12.5 cm upon removal.  It apparently hemorraged and bled into itself sometime between the CT scan and the kidney removal causing it to enlarge.  Unfortunately, that means my follow up will be based on Stage 2 tumor.  I will have my baseline CT scan and chest x-ray in March.

My left kidney is functioning well.  Creatinine level is at .97 and all other values appear normal.  I was very concerned about this given the large cyst that is on this kidney.

Thank you everyone for your support.  I hope to be able to add some value on this discussion board going forward.

Debbie

    Good to hear from you

Nice to see you back Debbie.  Ow those adhesions sound awful! Hope you are feeling better now. It's good they are going to follow you up thoroughly after what you have been through.
