Hi All,

Wanted to let you know that I will be on my way to Kentucky mid June to stay with JBG for a while. Am tying up a few loose financial ends here at home after sadly, but successfuly selling my cabin.

JBG continues to be in "screaming" pain as she describes it. Some days she is barely able to walk and cannot sit at the computer to post on the forum, but I have told her you are all thinking of her. She did meet with a pain mgmt. doc yesterday who has added some new meds to her existing ones and will have a follow up call in a week.

She wants so badly to get rid of this pain she's been fighting since February and replace it with some quality time.

I will be checking in with you all when I am there.

    and of course, JBG's family. 

    I pray that you will have a wonderful and safe trip. I know that you are going to be such a great comfort to your daughter. 

    I am so so so very sorry to hear about JBG's pain, and pray, feverantly, that she will get the pain management that she so desperately needs. 

    Please, tell her that she is in my thoughts and prayers.

    Hey Wolfen...I'm so glad you get to see your girl, but so upset that she is in so much pain.   That's not right.  Does she have fentanyl patches?  I hope the pain mgt doc figured something out.

    Oh dear, your poor girl...   :(   I hope that she can get a handle on the pain, that's really horrible.  :(    Please give her a gentle hug for me, and feel my arms wrapped around you as well.

    Actually I've been thinking of her lately and wondering how she was doing.  I'm sorry to hear that she is in so much pain and wish they could give her something to help.  Wishing you a safe trip and tell JBG I'm thinking about her and praying for her.

    In answer to your question, she has been restarted on the fentanyl patch. She also has 2 scripts for morphine and a new one for Dilaudid(sp). Starting on low dose of the Fentanyl & Dilaudid until they figure out what works.

    Well, you already know my thoughts...

    just very glad you will be going.

    And those new pain meds should help your poor girl.  She should have these much sooner.  I can't believe they let her struggle with pain for this long. :(

    So sorry to hear JBG is in such pain.  This just sucks.........  No one should suffer like that.

    I pray that the meds will help in controlling the pain for her.

    I hate that she is in such pain and hope that they can solve this as soon as possible.

    I am flying early Saturday morning. Have to be at the airport at 6 AM. Should be in Nashville by 1:30.

    JBG's pain has not abated much. Can't remember if I posted this but she is now with Hospice. It will make it easier for her to get pain meds & medical attention as they are local and her cancer center is so far away.

    I told her unless she really, really feels like it, not to make the trip with her hubby to pick me up. It is about a 4 hour round trip.

    Too antsy to just sit around so I am all packed and ready to go.

    I'll check in with you all when I get there.

    I am so very sorry to hear that JBG is under Hospice care. Well, I am happy in the fact that she will get the pain management that she needs, but sad as it is hard to realize that she is in so much pain. 

    I am glad that you are packed, it just makes things seem closer. I hope that Friday passes very quickly for you, and you will be on your way bright and early. 

    Please give your daughter my love and let her know that my thoughts and prayers are with her. 

    Travel safe and check in when you can.
