Johnnybegood Is In The Hospital - UPDATE 1/16

Although last week's yellow eyes & face seemed to clear up in 24 hours, it has returned with a vengeance all over. She called her onc yesterday & was sent for blood work & CT today. Her liver(bile duct) is blocked & liver enzymes are extremely high. Don't know much more at this time as she just got a room & is waiting for a doctor, but speculation is that she will need a liver stent. Will update you when I know more.

I spoke to her this afternoon. The stent procedure was done early this morning. Although she is feeling far from great, because it done by going down the throat ?(news to me), she had the option of going home this evening, which she chose as she will be more comfortable there. She is, of course, still having the terrible side effects of last week's chemo. Her onc left word that she is to resume chemo ASAP. As things progress, she may be nearing the end of her rope at withstanding chemo. Only she can make that decision.

She asked me to thank each of you for your continued prayers & good thoughts. When she is feeling up to it, she will post.

    I'm so glad that she is being taken care of, though it saddens me that she is back in the hospital.

    Father God, we ask you to be with our friend today, as she faces yet another trial. Help her doctors and nurses provide the care that will correct this issue and allow her to be with her family and friends. 

    We know that all thar happens is part of your plan and we trust that you will be with us during our difficult times and help us to grow and learn. And we ask that you open our hearts to your love, fill our hearts and teach us to love the people you have brought into our lives.

    I hope that a stent can relieve the blockage. Sometimes it is all just too much.  I just hope that she can find some comfort.
