Low White Cell Counts with Carbo/Taxol second line Therapy for Recurrence.....Anyone else had or hav

Hi am currently trying to get treatment for a recurrence of stage 3A Ovarian Cancer.  I was supposed to have treatment once a week for three weeks then one week off however I have been unable to complete a full cycle because my White Cell counts keep dropping very low and Neupogen injections work and then a few days later my numbers drop again so I can't get treatment.  Is anyone else having or had this problem with second line treatment for a recurrence?

    This is a pretty common side effect of the treatment you are on.  Your doctor should be able to offer you Neupagen or Neulasta to elevate your WBC.  Or you can look into alternatives, like Astragalus.
