After 11 days in the hospital got to come home today...thank goodness, I don't think I could take the hospital bed another day. Came home with a catheter. Any advise? My problem right now is a swollen scrotum, have ice packs on it. Always something. I'm so tired, going to bed, won't know how to act without any interruptions every hour at the hospital. Pray everyone is doing as well as possible. Jeff |

Yay for home!
So glad you were able to get out of there. I don't have any advice for you, but hope you get more comfortable soon. Are they going to leave the catheter in, or is it just short-term? AA

Keeping in
Right now they plan on keeping it in. I have and appt with an uroligisist in two weeks. It would be nice to have it removed. Jeff

So glad to see that you're home! Just have your wife wake you every hour. That way you'll still get all that rest that they allow you in the hospital. LOL
Take care,

Hi Jeff. I don't know
Hi Jeff. I don't know anything about catheters but I do know that I'm so happy you've made it home. I hope you soon start to feel better.

There's no place like home! If you want to share your #, we can take turns calling you on the hour?? My husband was so excited to come home and get some rest - I asked if he forgot where he lived...not much quiet time in this house.
Rest and be well!

Glad you're home
Good to hear you got to come home, Jeff. I hope that you get plenty of rest and start feeling better. Also hope that catheter can come out. That can't be comfortable, I wouldn't think. Sorry to hear about the swelling. Best wishes to you.

Good news!
I am so glad that you are home and in your own bed. It is truth when I say that I thank the Lord for my bed when I get in it every night. We are lucky to have a Tempur Pedic, which is absolute HEAVEN.
I had a catheter for a couple of weeks many years ago. Of course, I am a woman, so a little different than a man. I got used to it. I had to tie the tube every so often to train the bladder to work again. Its not the best, but it sure beats being in the hospital, and if you have to have it for a while, just think that its working for you, not against you.
I wish you recover soon and back you a livable self.
Blessings!

We are happy to hear that you
We are happy to hear that you are at home and now can rest and heal. The hospital is no place to relax, just a place to get monitored.
Keep up the good fight!
Best Always, mike
