What do you want to know?
16 is very young to have to deal with this. But you have a great prognosis for a long and healthy life,.

What do you want to know about? Make a list of questions and post it. There are lots of people who can help you understand what's going on.

    Hang in there.

I'm terribly sorry you have thyroid cancer. I agree you should make a list of questions and people will help you. Also please let your family and friends support you during this time and after your surgery.

    Hi thyroidgirl1721
I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Have you had you surgery yet? What type of Thyroid Cancer do you have?

Suggestions for dealing with it: Well, first and foremost, this is a very treatable and curable cancer. You will be on medication for the rest of your life but you will adjust. This diagnosis will be something that teaches you a great deal and in the end will make you stronger and smarter. Your life will be different but if you turn it into something positive you will benefit. I would encourage you to learn as much as you can about your cancer. Strive to help others that are affected and keep your head up, be strong and never give up. This is the best advise I have to share. Please feel free to post any questions and vent all you like. We are here to help.

    Blessings,

    My daughter was dignosed when

My daughter was dignosed when she was 8. She's now 14. What type do you have? Her's is MTC with MENS2b. It's a genetic mutation with her. Ask all the questions you want, folks with answer. I will if you ask me. don't give up there are so many options out there.
