Your post is a bit cryptic - hard to understand. As well, you may be asking a question that no doctor can definitively answer. In the fight against cancer, sometimes there are no correct answers. One regimen risks one thing, while the alternative risks something else. Time to discuss this with doctor.

I had NLPHL, Stage III-A.   NLPHL is very rare (less than 1% of all new lymphoma cases), and has HL and NHL characteristics, but it is officially still a form of HL. It is considered very "indolent," or slow-moving.

Early Stage NLPHL (Stage I and II) ordinarily receives either radiation only, or radiation and a few chemo infusions.  Either way, he will not need many cycles of chemo (probably 2 or 3 at the most).

Later Stage (3 and 4) is almost always treated only with chemotherapy, and the overwhelming choice is what I had, r-abvd. How widespread the involvement is can call for 6, 8, or 12 cycles (I had 12 cycles).

Know that NLPHL is among the most successfully treated HLs, especially in young patients.

Since I never knew I had early-stage disease, I never had reason to study early-stage treatment options.  Only your doc can address that, but a second opinion consult is always a good idea, perhaps from someone else inside his practice or group.

AVOID INTERNET SITES, unless they are university-run. The internet is full of snake oil doctors and streetcorner "experts."

Everyone here is a layperson, and what we share is personal experiences and what we have learned along the way.  As some others have mentioned in this thread, plain English is perhaps the most useful for all concerned.
