Are there no moderators for this forum?

There are two posters today in several posts that are purley advertising, and I was wondering if anything can be done about them. Can these rubbish posts can be removed from the threads they show up in.

    SPAM

Unfortunately we get a spammer every once in a while.  The only deterant I have found on other sites is to make the user signing in to enter something displayed on the screen....usually random numbers or letters.

If you look at the bottom right hand corner of the unacceptable posting you will see the "add new comment" and also "flag this".  If you click on flag this it will allow you with a couple of extra steps to flag the posting for review by the site manager.  Usually this happens over night.  For particularly bad posts you can also look at the top right hand side of the page where it says "contact CSN".  You can then post a message regarding the issue.  I bleive these messages go to "Greta" who is our board monitor.  Review and action on these may be longer depending on her schedule and also if done on the weekend.

Wish there was some way to return the favor to those who spam sites such as ours.

    Thank you!

I wondered what the 'flag this' was all about. I suppose it would help if I went and looked at the CSN Help page ;).

    I appreciate your help.

    Hi Trubrit,
    I meant to tell

    Hi Trubrit,

I meant to tell you earlier that your subject title here really made me laugh!! That's a good one, I may have to use that.
You are not only caring and genuine, but got a great sense of humor too. Thank you so much. It's been a little testy around here and wanted to give kudos to the humor that is so badly needed.

    Hope you are doing good.

    Yes, your subject title made

Yes, your subject title made me think this was about something that almost happened to me. I was on my way to Hannaford to pick up two prescriptions. I had just had a CT, and while drinking the contrast stuff I knew my pouch was filling up quite a bit. I was also using a sample appliance and pouch system sent to me. When I left the hospital, all was well. Well, almost to Hannaford, and I just knew I'd had a blowout (not with my tire). I looked, and yep, what a mess. But, I had to have those prescriptions, and believe it or not, toilet paper. Keep in mind our Hannaford has those products at the diagonal corner of the store entrance, so it's quite a walk. I had to go in, as Jim was working nights and needed his sleep. And he was going to need toilet paper when he got up. So I zipped up my coat, walked in and got the tp, then up to the counter to get the prescrips. There were two customers in front of me. Now, standing in line, I could smell my blowout. When I got up to the counter, luckily I could pay for the tp with the scrips. I got in the car and got home, flying into the bathroom. In the bathroom, a semi-formed "ball" rolled down and out my pantleg. I was so thankful it did not happen at Hannaford...thankfully I was wearing jeans so the "ball" didn't escape until I got home. Knock on wood, I stayed with my reliable appliance/pouch system. No problems like that since...At the time it wasn't funny, but of course it is now!

    You poor thing!

I'm guessing with all that toilet paper, they may have made you do your own clean up on isle 5.

I wonder about smells. I don't have a bag but my mouth always feels like it smells. I can brush my teeth, minty fresh, and a moment later it has that feeling of gumminess. I presume it smells, though I have not had my husband do the smell test.

Good luck to you as you continue your journey.  And thanks for sharing your story. Like you said not funny at the time, but amusing to tell afterwards.
