Jason is doing justannalexandria said:Hi Kris!
How is Jason doing? And yes, you can add pictures...if you look at the thread "Show Ourselves", there is both a video tutorial that Phil put up, and written instructions by me, your friendly neighborhood librarian.
Jason is doing just wonderfully.....so much better than I could have imagined. (thank god!) The only side effects he's had so far is the mouth sores, which he is using the "magic mouthwash" for, so they are better than when they started, & fatigue....he is SO tired. He was very, very tired the first few days after the first treatment, which was last Wednesday (the 5-FU ended Friday evening). Yesterday is the first day he actually felt like getting out doing stuff. Bless his heart, he left a little while ago going over to a friends house & he said...."man, I dread Wednesday!" (his 2nd treatment....) & just went on out the door. I hope the fatigue gets lighter as it goes along, but that's probably just wishful thinking, huh? He has had a real good appetite though, which is great. He has lost roughly 30 lbs. since August....

My husband was dx'd 5/29/12 and had surgery on 6/1, started chemo 6/13. His exhaustion was unbelievable. We were never able to figure out if it was from recovering from surgery or having such advanced cancer or the chemo but guess is all of them thrown together. He was able to work couple hours a day and was gettin ready to put in for leave of absence from work starting aug 1 and was trying to finish up the month of July at work and he started feeling better at the end of July and just kept feelin better and better sheheh never did put in for it and has worked full time since. He gets chemo on Wednesday and unhooked on Friday so he has theweekend to rest and he feels good again on Monday. Hopefully your husband will be the same way. Best of luck to you both!!
