Brian's battle is over

We lost my husband on Wednesday night 11/28/12, at 10:24 p.m. He was at home with my daughters and I. He was 55 and fought so hard to be alive to someday walk his daughters down the aisle at their weddings, to see his future grandchildren, and so much more, but it was not to be. Our hearts are broken.

Thank you all for the information and comfort you have given to me over the last 3.5 years. I will always keep everyone on this board, and your families, in my prayers for a cure, for continued good results, for comfort, for more time with your loved ones.

Be well and I wish you all peace in your hearts,

I am so sorry for your loss.

While his physical form is no longer there, he will be with you and your daughters for all time in your hearts.

May you all find comfort in the good memories.

Prayers for you as you go through these difficult days.

Although not a strong poster, I visited often...and shared your struggles.

I know it sounds weird, but as I have said goodbye to many, I just think:

They have not gone, just moved. From in front of my eyes, into my heart, where they live on safe and protected forever.

BIG hugs, Kathi

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear husband. You know he fought hard to stay, none of us want to go and leave behind that sadness that happens with our passing.
Please know he's there always in your hearts and I believe he truly will never be completely gone from you and your children.
May you find comfort sweet woman and thank you for your kind words to us, during your time of sorrow.

My condolences on the loss of your Brian. I know the empty feeling you have right now with him gone since I lost my George on 10/29 and he and Brian were diagnosed within a month of each other.

I have no words of wisdom to help you get thru the next few weeks of agony. You will sit there is disbelief over what has happened, it will seem like a bad dream, but get thru it you will. Touches of him will be everywhere as you walk from room to room and it truly is heartbreaking.

Be kind to yourself and face the challenges one day at a time. If you need anything or have any questions send me a personal message (CSN e-mail).

Best regards - Tina

Dearest Donna,

Those three words will stay with me the rest of my days...they may well be the last 3 words I ever hear from you. I will never remember the day that you asked me that (recently).

I was not sure how to reply...I suspected the situation was dire from your description...I knew that you knew too...but yet, I didn't want to say anything that could take away any hope that you had remaining.

You were one of my first friends here - I just didn't want to hurt you. I never know what to say when it gets down to things like this...I'm full of puff and bluff right up to there, but then the words begin to fail me...I suspect that will never change.

Several of my caregiver friends have recently lost their spouses...Tina with George...and Cynthia with Rick...and now you and Brian.

This has been a pretty tough year for so many of you out there. It just doesn't seem to get any easier as time has passed up here.

I just wanted to express my sincere condolences on the passing of Brian...I wanted to say that you have been a wonderful friend to me and the group up here when you have been active...I still have many of our special correspondences as I do of others.

That way, there will always be a special part of you close to my heart when I need to reach for it. I'm just so sorry that this has happened and as with so many others, I wish for healing for you - when the time for healing is right.

I hope to see you again one day...but if that is not meant to be...just know that you were/and are a special person to me. You were there in my early days and were one of my biggest cheerleaders.

I thought I was in heaven when I first joined and was first talking with all of you.

I just wanted you to know that:)

Dear Donna and Family,

So sorry to hear about the passing of Brian. My thoughts are with you and your daughters.
Brian will be so missed on all the occasions like weddings and family gatherings.

Personally I believe that they are still here with us, sometimes I can smell perfum or aftershave ( my only brother), my mother often visits me in the form of a Ladybug, which is all so comforting for me. I wish you the same comfort when you here a special song Brian liked or any other thing what makes you think of him.

Hugs and love and peace I am sending you and your family,
