Autumn leaves, clinging on, it's how I feel!

In the black forest Germany, the leaves are a stunning range of greens, yellows and Gold and orange.
The snow and winds have not come yet, they still cling to the trees. It's so beautiful.

Then by the main river at Frankfurt, different trees, most are bare now. A few of these leaves on these equally beautiful trees hangon still.

I see so much beauty here in nature and the people. It makes clinging to life like an Autumn leaf a joy.

As I gaze at the trees and leaves I ask myself how many more autums ?
For the forest it's countless , for me its a mystery I leave to God.

Hugs,
Pete

Our leaves here in the US
are almost gone. A couple of weeks ago, they were in all of their glory. Reds, yellow, oranges..so beautiful. We drove up to Mt. Cheaha and it was stunning. I found myself wondering if this one was the last Robert would see....

    Hugs to you Pete

    Beautiful, Pete
That was awesome! Being you're from Australia, I'm curious if the Fall Foliage is something you don't see a lot? We had a very dry year here in Northeast Kansas so we thought it would be a bad "color" year for the foliage but it ended up being spectacular. And we went to the Colorado Rockies in late September and the colors were fantastic. Glad you're able to enjoy the beauty, and thanks for sharing with us. Dan

    What a beautiful image!
What a beautiful image! Fall is beautiful where I live and I always enjoy the tapestry of color that is the hills. Last year, while on leave from work, I walked in the woods during the winter and fell in love with the bare trees, their individuality apparent. Pete, go find a bare tree with roots exposed and stand on those roots to ground you, connect you through this journey. Just an image I'm sending you. We are so blessed for what trees bring us. Light and love to you.

I used to live in Birmingham and at one time worked in Anniston, so I know where Cheaha is. It's really pretty up there.

    thanks dear friends
to share whats in our heart is the best best medicine, at for me at this time.

I simply pray that our lives are constantly enriched either, by stunning autumn leaves, by new pairs of shoes, the hugs of our friends or the sparkle of candle light in a lovers eyes.

in its essence each day is a brave and exciting journey for me. tomorrow I leave tomorrow.

    hugs,
    Pete

ps the early morning twilight fog shrouds the black forest in mystery, it dissapates as the sun riss. it seemed to cling in the mountsin valleys like the autumn leaves. I saw this spectacular dawn display and had a few tears as i did the 2 hour drive from my fiends place to the clinic for my 8am hyperthermia.

    Pete

the colorado rockies, now thats a place i would love to see. maybe their are no "bad color year" , expectations have a way of devaluing our presnt experience.

as an aussie in sydney i have never seen the forest effect like here in the black forest.

    oh angela, i hope not
I was wondering the same thing .....

natural beauty provokes this repsonse, which ultimately i am grateful for.

but all we do is live today well, and tomorrow will have to sort itself out. It always does, alas weather we are here or not this beautiful big ball keeps spinning and the autum leave fall from Cheaha to Hallwangem to Sydney.
