The latest headache - **Updated Again!**

Post-biopsy:
Biopsy was relatively painless. However, they do a follow-up mammo right after the biopsy and marker placement, only to discover that the questionable site found on the ultrasound, while close by, was not the same as the questionable site found on the mammo. They couldn’t go back in and do another biopsy – this one will require an MRI and/or a full surgical biopsy. However, nothing will be decided until they get the pathology back from the first biopsy.
And so it continues. It will be at least a couple more weeks until I have more definitive information. My husband and I are both duly fried.
Alice

Monday's biopsy was benign. Now onto the next mass, which will definitely be a surgical biopsy.

I really, really hope that it turns out to be benign...
and I'm so sorry that you have to go through more worry and medical stuff. Wish the universe could get its act together and just ease up a little on those of us who have already paid our dues, which you certainly have. Sending hugs and strength your way~Ann Alexandria -

Hope that it turns out to be nothing. I've been called back several times for things that they have seen or unsure of an it ended up being nothing. Hope that all is well with you.

So sorry that you have to add this worry to your load. Prayers that it is benign. Glad they are keeping a close eye on you though. Will be waiting for update. Hang In.

and hoping to find out that it's a benign mass. Sending you a cyber hug to be sure.

Sorry this is happening to you. Didn't you just have a scan recently for follow up - did that show anything or doesn't it cover the chest? Just curious how long in between the scan and mammogram? -

but they don't look at the breasts in that. I had my annual exam with my gyn in May, and he didn't notice anything (but the spot they are looking at is very deep in, and I have rather -ahem- large breasts.
This is the first time I've ever had anything of concern on the right side. I had a needle biopsy of the left about 8 years ago. It was a fatty cyst. This will be a needle-core biopsy; larger needle, larger pieces of tissue. Hoping for the same benign results.
Just a pain over all. -
