Don't know what to do ,I have the beach house ready to go but weather is terrible here and even worst forecasted! just thinking what to do!
What about you mates?
No specific plans which is actually nice! Going to be praying for a friend who will be traveling to MD Anderson next week to set up a treatment plan for her 3d recurance of cervical cancer - doctors gave her two choices...comfort care or surgery so she and her husband have a great deal to think about. Gary will be clearing land for his shop/man cave to built...I'm thinking just enjoy the cooler weather and fly by the seat of my pants for the weekend! :)
Hope weather improves your way and everyone has an enjoyable weekend! Also hoping for continued great updates on Steved - I'm still amazed!
i am planning on a good weekend consisting of being able to eat & enjoying it somewhat & not being so tired from chemo! completed chemo #5 yesterday. weather is cooler here in indiana but i just enjoy each day no matter what the weather is. i want very warm days but that is not going to happen!!! will see as many of my grandkids football games that i can. kids (7 plus 6 spouses) & grandkids (17) come over all the time as they all live within 20 min. so our door is always revolving!!! i hope your weather improves as it is great to get outside. pepe you have a wonderful weekend! and i hope everyone has a good weekend!
hugs
judy
danker yes i am really lucky. they range in age from 7 months to 21 years. 3 are in college. the oldest is in her 2nd yr of pharmacy school at butler in indianapolis so she is always letting me know about different things that are related to chemo tx. i guess she feels at my age of 64 yrs i need to be looked after! all of the grandkids are best friends even the babies. they are usually well behaved ( sometimes they can be stinkers!!!) as my kids & spouses believe in good old fashion discipline. yes sometimes they get out of line, that is natural, but they get a reality check real quick from the parents! even tho your family are states away i bet when you see them it is a wonderful visit. do you do face time or skype with them? sometimes i do facetime with family especially to see the ones who are 7 months, 1yr, 2yr & 3yr even tho i see them alot. no matter if families are near or far they are wonderful!
is the order of patients to get hipec style surgery.
so the big doctor said ok i will discuss your case at the radiological review meeting this monday morning. they will look at the pet and yesterday angio ct and my last clear liver mri.
if they believe the surgery to be beneficial based on review of the last scans then i am on.
they put patients on a list by priority. theirs not mine. i can accept that. so i have to still be formally accepted on the list. i then have to get operated on pronto.
this little alien sucker is growing 81 was my cea yesterday. still not on any chemo, the surgeon said no and they will push me up the list. so with luck it could be any day next week.
i am off to mass tomorrow. my pray list is getting long also.
We are going to dinner and the play "Wicked" with a couple of friends. AND I'll be praying for Pete, steved, and others on the board. Hope the weather clear up enough for you to enjoy the beach house Pepe!
Our company will start arriving off and on through Oct. and Nov. So we are planning things to do and meals to prepare. Fun things, finally!!!
Rest Pepe and enjoy the calm.
Hugs my friend, and I hope everyone has a peaceful weekend.
Judy
For Mesothelioma. He'd hoped to get 40 kayakers, but they have over 150 signed up now!
That's Saturday. Don't know about the rest of the weekend yet. I'm in "Scanxiety" mode, as my mammogram last week came back "suspicious" and I'm having follow-up scans on Tuesday. The thought of dealing with another cancer is terrifying.
We will be praying for you as well!
PS. My wife mammogram always come suspicious since she has hipercystic " ****" ( sorry), but ultrasounds always come clear!
Hugs and good luck ,will pray for good results!
I am prepared! All I have to do is set up. I think we are going to empty my wine rack this weekend. It is time to shop for more wine. Everywhere I travel, I buy a bottle of wine. I have too many bottles. Some must go! It's like a clearance sale without paying for the wine.
Ketzie dear.....You are supposed to drink the wine!!!!!I could never have too many bottle because it always looks so yummy when I have prepared a nice dinner.....
very very best luck and love with your party Ketz
hubby going out to a rock and roll concert tonight....i rented that movie with Michelle Williams playing Marilyn Monroe....cold here .....will put on the fire, curl up with a nice glass of wine.....hahah
Nothing planned which normally means I am going to be very busy. weather is gorgeous, so a long walk is a deffinate, stil looking after my sick daughter, she needs a brain operation, I am worried sick about her.
Did you stay in a lot during chemo. I have been doing chemo for 3 months and have gone every where, football games, restaurants, malls, fast food. Did your Md tell you to stay away from places? I haven't been sick so far (as far as labs go) or any delayed treatment. Monday #6 Folfox and thursday CT scan, so having so scan anxiety this weekend.
Sandy :)
First we were going to a birthday party for my SIL then it was cancelled then it was back on again and now it is cancelled. So outside of going to church, think I'll try to start unpacking our fifth wheel to put back into storage (doesn't sound like too much fun does it). Maybe we'll go see a movie Sunday afternoon but not sure. Hope you find something exciting to do if you don't go to the beach house.
Tomorrow morning I'm taking a class that is job-related and starts early. I have to get up at 7 am on a Sat. Bummer! Tomorrow afternoon after I finish the class, I'll be leading the youth in a service project. We'll be staining the deck at our church parsonage. Tomorrow night I may see one of my youth in a band competition and there's free concert downtown, too.
Sunday will be church, a little rest in between, and then the youth group meeting.
We just made it our daughter and son in laws and granddaughters house in Cincinnati for the weekend. We haven't seen the little grandbaby since labor day weekend. Got my pump filled up today after finishing the 7th week. So we are celebrating with family. Pray everyone has a peaceful and pain free weekend. Jeff
Well, you know me and my never ending yard sales. But really, it's supposed to be 105 today, so not setting up shop yet. BTW, Pepe, my horoscope said I might meet someone from a foreign land today. Are you on your way to Arizona? LOL
With my son and his family (3 grand kids) in Claremont, NH. Spent the day today apple picking, hay rides and then unloading a uhaul loaded with all my tools, saws, etc so my son might have use of them while I don't even have a place to keep them. So sore, but at least all that is done and clears tomorrow for whatever comes our way, but we don't know what we will do yet. My sons wife is an excellent host and the kids are just delightful. Ofc it is always good to spend time with my kids.
for several days at the cottage. The weather has been quite cool but with a cord of wood the house is nice and cozy. Don't want to turn the furnace on yet. Today will be nice sunshine but crisp and cool outside. George is feeling ok, wish he felt a bit better. Other than that, nothing special. Just relax, relax and more relaxing, visiting with the neighbors, some nice meals.
