Dearest Jennie (idlehunters)...Has Left the Building:(

This is the hardest news I've ever delivered here. I am in a state of shock and denial.

I hope that I'm not out of line for speaking for Jennie, but we just received word from her daughter that Jennie has passed away this evening.

Apparently, there were many brain mets and this led to complications and her subsequent passing.

I've know Jenny for several years now...she's one of my dearest friends. A couple of years ago, she and I went to see Eric38 in the last week of his life and we shared that moment together with him - members of the Class of 2009.

And now, another one of my friends has been taken from me - from us - from her family. And she was a bright light - she was my crazy Jenny.

One of my favorite memories was CP9 in Fort Worth - we had margaritas on the patio at a place called The Cabo...just laughing and living life together.

She always saw me when she came to town - we were supposed to see each other this 25th when she got here for the Cowboy game.

I'm sad I've lost my friend...I'm sad for all of us who knew are. I was just fortunate to spend face time with her and we talked on the phone...I could usually get her to laugh and I used to like to hear her laugh - I can hear her now when I close my eyes.

We've all been worried about her - I think we all knew something was wrong - you know, Jennie...when something was amiss, she'd shout it from the rooftops and you could be certain we'd know about it:)

LOL! (Jennie would want me to make her laugh and remember her fun side) - :-)

I miss you, Jennie...I got too close again - but the memories of you I will hold for a lifetime - and I wouldn't have traded one second of time I spent with you and your daughters and brother for anything - they were special times I will forever treasure.

P.S. Please tell Eric and My Chicky howdy and you guys keep a light on for me!

Forever your friend,

-Craig

I will miss you forever. You were so kind to me with your numerous pm's. I am forever grateful for the help and hand in friendship you gave me. I only wish I had met you in person. Our board is now forever changed without your presence.

Forever grateful - Tina

First thing I did when I got home last night was check my email and found out then that Jennie had passed. After reading the condolences posts, and weeping for the first time since the day I was dx'd, I went outside. There was one star shining in the sky. The astronomers call it Antares, but I knew in my heart that it was our dear Jennie smiling down at us all. I raised my beer and said "this one's for you Jennie!"

Like so many others here, she touched my life with her warmness and sense of humor. I just hope that God is wearing Depends, because Jennie is gonna get him laughing so hard he'll pee his pants!

I am so truly shocked and sadened by the news. Jennie was such an awesome person that I was just starting to get to know. It is getting harder for my to come on this site with all of the tragedy. I hate cancer. It is so cruel and unfair. We have lost a truly beautiful person.

Oh, dear Jennie, how we will miss your smile, sense of humor, kindness and strength of spirit. It's hard to believe that you are gone, but you will remain forever in our hearts.

With much sadness, I wish you an eternal peaceful sleep.

Thanks, Craig. I just sent an email out to the one's who will be attending CP10 in Buffalo, NY. Scouty replied to let me know that Jennie passed away. I am shocked and have no words. RIP Jennie. I am so glad we met in Chicago.

I still keep a check on everyone. I had the honor of talking to Jennie once on the phone regarding Vanderbilt since my late husband was going there. She was so warm and caring. It is a great shock and a huge sadness that another one of our friends have lost the battle. Praying for her family and for someone to find a cure for this monster.

I just read about Jennie and feel so sad because she was so special. I will really miss her and her ease she dealt with terrible cancer. I know she was hurting more than she let everyone know. Rest in peace we all miss you and will see you again someday. Jeff

I am so sorry for the loss of Jennie. Although I am brand new here and I did not know her, I am deeply saddened :( I have come to HATE cancer in the last 7 weeks since I found out about my husband's diagnoses, more and more as the days go by.
I am so sorry for all of you that knew and loved Jennie. God bless her, her family and all of her friends. Rest in peace, the angel that I know you are, Jennie.
How very, very sad:(
Seriously, why does this have to happen??? Why? With all of the billions and billions and billions of dollars they have collected in donations over the past few years...why are they not coming up with something other than this poisonous chemotherapy????? I'm sorry, just bitter.
