    Dr Schulick
    Hi All:

My mother had been misdiagnosed with Stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). I would suggest before you make any decisions to go to Dr Richard Schulick. He is the best doctor for Bile Duct Cancer. He removed my mother's tumor from the Liver. it was a Huge tumor, so He removed 2/3 of her Liver. The Liver regenerated and she has been undetectable for cancer since the surgery. It has been 2.5 years since the surgery. Dr Richard Schulick works at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. You can find his information anywhere on google. If he says that he can remove the tumor, then you're golden.

Any questions you can contact me: Damjan42@yahoo.com

GOOD LUCK to all. I know what you are going through! BE STRONG, DON'T LOSE HOPE.

    Hi damjanj
Good info my friend, thanks for sharing it.

    Dear RobbinsEgg

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences in such detail. My Dad was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in May after wrongly being diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitis. Since then (or perhaps even beforehand) the tumour has spread to the abdomen and duodenum. We were very hopeful during the first course of chemo, but then it stopped having an effect. You described being "crushed" by bad news, that exactly how our family feels especially as the second course has weakened him terribly. He is jaundiced, has very swollen feet and abdomen, is so tired all the time and battles so hard to be optimistic. I have looked into IPT since reading your messages and have found a Dr here in the UK and have just now e-mailed him, hoping that he can help. I share your experiences of wading through "miraculous" cures trying to find genuine help and understanding. I have battled so much with hope these last few weeks, so unsure that juicing and organic food can be enough for my father and at the same time so scared of what the chemo is doing to him. I know nothing is certain, but still I just wanted to thank you again for sharing what you have been through and know that you have made me feel stronger and better armed to fight this battle.

My many thanks and joy that you and your wife have a bright future together after what i am sure has been a very lengthy battle

    Very best wishes

    Helen

    UK IPT practitioner
    Dear helenkogan,

We are just about to start Low Dose Naltrexone for my wife and I have now read of IPT. Thank you to all writers.

I would like to discuss this with a UK practitioner and I would be grateful if you could provide his name and contact details.

    Thanks so much.

I wish that your Father improves soon.

hi ,my mom has been diagnosed with this cancer...she has been on chemo for about a year now. just last week she went in for surgery to get the tumor removed, which is about a size of a baseball..through pet scan and cat scans doctors had told her that she was ready and the tumor had shrunk..unfortunatly when the docotrs were operating they had discovered that in fact it had barely shrank at all. and they were unable to remove the tumor..the plan was to remove it and leave about 20% of her liver, enough to keep her alive until it regenerated..we came to find out that the chemo she had been on for the past year had destroyed the only good part of her liver she had left so because of that they had to leave the tumor..she is not a candidate for a transplant .. they say that theres an 80% chance of in returning ..so of course we were heartbroken after hearing all of this..i dont know what to do..i cant lose my mother..i am looking into alternative medicines now..please can you give me some information..the doctors, the medicine, the whereabouts ..anything and everything please...its very reassuring hearing your story about your wife and i congratulate you two..please help ...god bless

    bile duct cancer
    Dear RobbinsEgg,

My husband was just diagnosed with bile duct cancer. He was supposed to have a Whipple surgery to remove the tumor, but when the surgeon opened him up, he saw the cancer had spread to the liver, and closed him up. He gave him 6 months. We are so devastated. Any advice would help. We are seeing an oncologist today to talk about treatment, however I am interested in trying IPT.

    anything??

    Alternative Therapies, IPT, and Supplements

My father has been diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma and is in a good amoutn of pain.  Struggling with it for a year.  Conventional treatments have not worked and is seeking alternative therapies.  He has not qualified for clinical trials either.  He is strongly considering IPT treatment, with supplemental considerations.  What type of chemo worked for you @RobbinsEgg?  Any insight would be helpful.  I can email you directly, or you can as well to sdemetro12@earthlink.net.  Any insight from anyone would be helpful.

    My father has the diagnosis.

My father has the diagnosis.  It is very early.  Caught it a couple months ago. Originally took out his Gall Bladder, but didnt see cancer then. So thinking it wasnt a gall bladder issue but his cancer.  He had one round of Chemo before the cancer traveled to his hip and broke the ball of his femur requiring him to have his hip replaced.  That set Chemo back 3 weeks, so we just got round 2.  He goes once a week for 2 weeks then off a week.  Had a real hard time eating.  Has to get most of his nutrients with Boost Plus.  He also has issues staying hydrated and we have to take him to get fluids every so often.  I am 1 of 2 main caregivers, so I see a lot of what is going on.  Really curious about the IPT, and how to go about that.  Has anyone else seen issue with staying hydrated?  Is that a common cancer problem.  This is my first experience with cancer.  Not only that I am trying to navigate my job while being up with him a lot of the night, so my tiredness is an issue.  I have to really push him to get water and nutrients and at times it really can cause stress on our realtionship.  He is my bestfriend and so it is hard for me to see let alone help.  It tears me apart.  My anxiety is going through the room and I just am really in a funk most days.  I have a little relief knowing there are other people in this world dealing with this, and can understand what I am dealing with.

Hello, it is so re assuring to hear your wife’s story. My mother as been diognosed with bile duct cancer and spread to her liver, she as also been told that it is not curable but I refuse to believe this. I have been getting her on a healthy diet and many different supplements and natural remedies and herbals etc. I have ordered the paw paw and the Artemisinin as your wife was taking. My mother as been offered immunotherapy and chemotherapy, we are seeing an oncologist on Friday to ask all the questions we have and make a decision about the treatment afterwards. I am not sure if the insulin and chemotherapy is an option in England. I will have to look into it. Do you have any other natural remedies / supplements that you would recommend. Thank you.
