Just Checking In with My "Homies"

I wanted to let everyone know that as I am coming up on my 2 year anniversary that I am doing well. What an incredible roller coaster the past 2 years have been. VATS, chemo, radiation, remission, mets to spine, Tarceva, met to spine reduced, and as of last week no new tumors, spine looks good, brain and lungs look good too! Worry has been a companion along the way but with encouragement and understanding by the good people here I am learning to enjoy each day as it comes. I realized that I am spending more time living and going about my business as usual and therefore do not check in here as often as I used too. But I also realize that I REALLY wanted to hear from people who were having success in fighting this awful disease. They were the people that gave me hope. So here I am 2 years later, happy, essentially healthy, and looking forward to the future. Anita (see "about me" for type, stage etc)

    Also celebrating two years ...
... and I've been lucky enough to have received pretty much unrelentingly good news over that time.

Very glad to see your smiling face, and continued healing mojo your way!

Great news! I'm so happy to hear your doing very well.

I visit the inspire web site, and there is a discussion group for Tarceva Divas and Dudes, and much success there. This is an ongoing thread with lots of activity. I wish you continued great news. Lori

Tarceva Divas and Dudes - TARCEVA
This is a great discussion group on INSPIRE for those of us taking Tarceva. Lots of great information from those of us taking this drug, with tips on how to deal with the side effects (which are many and StRanGe).
