Would love to hear more of your journey. Please don't lurk....please post more and often (if you can, or would want to).
We need inspiration here. Yes, Pete continues to be so inspirational.

Hi Janie..I will tell my story as briefly as I can..maybe I can help someone else..I was dx stage 4 crc in sept 2010 after a couple of months trying to figure out the source of groin pain..I lost 50 lbs and was close to death when my sister came to Aspen and brought me to Seattle..by then it had spread to my liver and both lungs.. chemo started shrinking the tumors..I start my 32 round of chemo on monday..I gained 35 lbs back in eight months... acupuncture helped a lot with the side effects of smell and taste change..medical weed too..you can eat it...I have been on xeloda and avastin since round 14..surgery is not an option..my bloodwork is good every three weeks and no new growth..I take many supplements..some are immune boosters and some are complementary cancer therapys ..I am always researching options keeping and open mind while gaining as much knowledge as I can so I can hopefully make the right decisions when they need to be made..I dont look too far ahead and never behind and I live in the moment mostly..a lot of golf, dogs and family helps as well as a lifetime of friends that post on caringbridge..quite a site for people like us..this site as well as many here are so brave and inspiring.I was so scared in the early months and this site helped me..I am a better person now in many regards and I see the world and its beauty like maybe only someone in our shoes can so its not all bad I think..thanks for asking and reaching out to me Janie1 and I wish you strength in your battle..flyguide sean

Thank you so much. I wish you many decades of enjoying the beauty this world has to offer. Very true, priorities change for the better, what's "most" important becomes front and center.

Groin pain was my first clue
About six months before yours. In my case the source was the inguenal node, and it had not really spread beyond that when they figured out it was cancer three months later!?! I finally got a new GP last November, and I am so glad I made the switch!

    Thanks for sharing!
