Left this am for house in Mid-Mchigan. George feels well enough that he has joined several guys about an hour north of here for a poker evening. Will be lots of good food and libations. He will spend the night and come back here late tomorrow afternoon. So, I am going to curl up in an ultra comfortable (although unattractive) recliner, coverlet, nice warm fire, cat curled up on my legs, kindle and nice coffee in hand.

It will be nice to have an evening of no TV, telephone, interruptions and spend some time reflecting on our journey, shedding a tear for my dear George and dear Lisa and everyone suffering from this disease and reading a nice book.

Life goes on I guess so enjoy and reflect.

    Hugs - Tina

Hi Tina ,it's great to see George in synch a good shape and
spirit , hope you got a comfortable day !
    Hugs Tina!

WoW interesting ,every time I understand more and more
why we left holand, .It's even difficult yo eat a soup! Just a joke! LOL. Do you realize how easy is to get and drink a Gazpacho?
    hehehehe! Hugs dear Dutchies friends!

    LOL!
I LOVE Gazpacho! And all the Sangria...and the best friend in Barcelona...I could return over and over again...

My American roots made it so I never had a soup that was a meal. So, at first, I didn't trust it...soup was for starting the meal...and the appetite...*smile*...the Dutch have sure taught me a few things!!!!

BIG hugs to you, dear friend!!! Kathi

    quiet weekend
    G'day Pepe,
Having a very quiet weekend, got out of hospital late friday afternoon. They took 3 cores out of my left kidney so I have 3 thirteen centimetre deep holes in my back. It took nearly two hours for the the procedure ,i have lost nearly 5cm in height in the last couple of years thanks mainly to the bone destroying effects of high dose prednisone. One of my ribs now covers half my kidney and they were not sure whether they could guide the needle with ultrasound or if they would need to resort to ct. They did it in the end but I don't know if they hit the right area. After the procedure there was not a trace of blood in my urine so once again they may have missed the area containing the filters. There will be no more ,that is my thrird one and the whole procedure terrifies me. havagoodweekend,Ron.

    I'm also affirming and
I'm also affirming and praying for fast healing. I'm so sorry for everything you've had to go through. Hang in there.

    Well....today Rachel and I
Well....today Rachel and I along with a couple of others would have been to see our beautiful Lisa again. I'm broken that it didn't happen.

Since there was a change in paths and plans, I'm going to take the weekend and all its sunshine and think about those on here that I have learned from and set some things in motion that I feel I have been doing half A@@. I think about what I want. I know what I want to do. I know what I should be doing. ..............It seems to be time to do it and stop talking about it.

I think I will get my bike out.

    Comatose on chemo weekend
But last one for a while, I hope.

By next weekend, when I have recovered from the oxi infusion and have finished the 7 days of Xeloda, I hope to have something to post about for the weekend. Seven months of chemo and three months of recovery from liver resection just before that, I will finally get a break and do something worth posting about. I'm thinking of a nice meal out and a margarita next weekend.

    School and Babysitting
I had school from 8 to 5 on Saturday, I had forgotten about it, but receiving an email on Friday late evening with a syllabus attachment reminded me otherwise I would have been sleeping in like I originally planned!!! I'm babysitting my 9 year old and 20 month old grandson for a week while their parents are in Mexico, starting first thing this morning.
