Second cycle

Good Morning;

I start the second cylcle of treatment this morning at 0800. Blood work then Cladribine, Velcade and Rituxin. I took 20 Mg of Dexamethason a couple of hours ago. I work third shift and am at work now. It's just as well, sleep is not an option. Wikipedia on Dex says Michael Cox wrote The Meaning of Night while under the influence of Dex. Cox says Dex gave him "formidible energy while quelling my creative doubts." It makes me want to run. I believe I will find a copy for Chemo reading.

I received an Email offer from a viatical company last week. That was rather disconcerting. I wonder how they got my information. My prognosis is good enough that I doubt they would consider me a "good" risk. I can see how making a deal like that may be beneficial, depending on circumstances. Still...don't appreciate being solicited.

I have been reading all the threads since joining here. I have benefitted more than I could have imagined by your collective experiences, advice and goodwill. And Love.... There is a Lotta Love here. Wish all the best.

Chuck

    Email Offer
    Dear Chuck,

    Please post and let us know how your treatment went this morning. If you somehow go
    online before. good luck.

    I think it is a bit scary getting an email offering you their treatment.

    Stay positive. Yes, I think this site is so full of love.

    Thought I posted here last night but it disappeared. Treatment went fine. Made it home and slept well. I feel very fortunate that at least so far I have not had much trouble with my treatments. That nulastra still gives me problems for a couple of days but that will be this week-end and thanks to Ambien I will sleep through most of it. Thanks for all the good positive input here, Wish Well to all.

    Treatment...
    Hi Chuck,
    Glad to hear your treatment went well and you were able to sleep. The first 5 days after my chemo treatments...(CVP-R), I got very little sleep(2 to 3 hours a night)at best,due to the 60mg a day dose of the nasty prednisone. My doctor suggested ambien to help with sleep, but I passed on taking it...(didn't like what I read about it). I was fortunate my blood counts have always stayed good and thus far have not had to get the nulastra shots. Thanks for sharing how treatment is going for you. Best wishes...Sue (FNHL-2-3a-6/10)
    P.S...I have no headache today and a bit more energy.."Yeah"..ha!
