Altitude

I have many times
No problem whatsoever. In fact I did some climbing on the top of Pikes Peak with my granddaughter. I was back in shape again, she wasn't. Guess who got the blue lips and was puffing and panting? Not the old man.
High altitudes are drier than lower altitudes. Dry mouth is a bit worse.
Have a good trip!!!!0 -

Thanks so much for the information. I just know my ears still do funny things still when the weather changes so I wasn't sure what would happen when changing altitudes. Doubt I will climb Pikes Peak but do plan on enjoying every day to the fullest. Will have to get pet scan and results before leaving so I pray for a NED so I can relax and enjoy the snow...This site is great for getting information from people who actually have been where I am0 -

eustacian tubes are affected by radiation. It can be harder to equalize pressure, or it may be easier. It made my ears much better at this. If harder, that still shouldn't be a problem when you are driving to a higher elevation. The rate of change is so much slower than in an airplane, after all. Maybe someone who has had ear problems will comment on this for you.
