This cancer is rare. It has effected my family very much. I lost my father to this cancer and i have learned that this type of cancer is very herditery. which means i will also get this cancer. I have been in the medical field for over twenty years and had made many friends in the medical field. I did extensive research when my dad was diagnosed with this cancer and read that his chances where very limited. The first two rounds of chemo work very well but after that the cancer takes over and will beat the chemo drugs. I knew this but never told my dad or family cuz he and my family believed from day one he would beat this cancer and i did not want to break his spirit. My dad fought one hell of a battle for 6 months. I am not trying to bring anyone down that has been diagnosed with this cancer but I want to give the facts. Get your affairs in order as soon as you can. this cancer is not a beatable cancer. it effects every part of your body. This cancer is rare and if the survivors talk about it more people will become aware as well as the cancer institute ( they will not treat this type of cancer). Please speak about this cancer often and your loved ones to continue their fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Nolson,

My wife has been in treatment with this cancer for 3.5 years. There has been several advancement for this type of cancer in recent years. The biggest problem is that it is found after it has already met to several other organs (my wife included). Please don't put yourself on death row IF you get dz with it.

I am sorry to hear about your father. I understand that this is scary and difficult to face, but do not give yourself a death sentence. Just because the disease is hereditary does not necessarily mean you will be diagnosed nor does it mean that your child(ren) (if any) will be. Continue doing your research. Your family will be in my prayers.
