Hello,

I hope my text is alright with everyone. Considering all the health issues
all of us have.

If there are any Florida residents on this site, I suppose their comments
would be more intense? Any thoughts on the Casey Anderson trial in Orlando?
Not sure if because there is nothing on TV in the evening, I find myself each
evening at 8 PM EST following Nancy Grace on TV on this trial? I know if I
lived in Orlanda, I would not stand in line starting at 1 AM to get a seat
for the trial for that day.

It is not my place to judge anyone, or give my opinion innocent or guilty.
I will not do that. I feel so sorry for the grand-parent's losing their granddaughter,
Calley in such a horrific way. The events and behavior of her mother, Casey Anderson, that took place prior to Calley being found is shocking. That I will say.

I hope I didn't offend anyone. The above is just on my mind. Perhaps to forget
what's going on in my life. Health wise.

Maggie

    No offense at all
    Maggie,
I live in NC and that case runs constantly. I have my own feelings about what happened in that case.It is a terrible thing that happened to that little girl. Thats only one case we know about so can you imagine how often crap such as that goes on. Just from what I hear on TV about the case it should be so open and shut. We are dealing with the corrupt judicial system(sorta on the same lines as our corrupt government), so no telling how this case will turn out.Remember the open and shut case against OJ Simpson. If the glove don't fit you must aquit. What a crock of $**t.I just do not know how these heartless Public Defenders can go in and plead injustice for cold blooded killers the way they do and knowing with the evidence they are guilty, guilty and guilty. They want to see their name in the newspaper and get a feather in their cap,get rich and the heck with real justice. Would you believe the prosecution and defense attorneys are usually good friends and go to lunch and discuss the cases and what they are going to say in court. I even heard a defense attorney ask a prosecuter if they thought it would be appropriate to show tears when a certain statement was made to the court. Believe me, I know this goes on. I have witnessed it.The type of job I had before retirement let me be in the right places. John

    Oh John
    Dear John,

I know, I know. How many cases of child abuse out there???? It's just in my
face all the time. I forgot to mention, this story is part of our regular
news also. Why do I punish myself, and listen to more.

Gee whiz, I hope you are not flagged with your response to me.

    Maggie,
If they flag me it will just show that our freedom of speech has gone too.It wouldn't surprise me a bit.LOL I realize this forum is for Lymphoma, but dang we need something to get our minds off this stuff. I mean after I post the Lymphoma is still there, but at least our minds were off in another direction for a little while. Its actually a sort of therapy. Thats my opinion anyway. Of course my opinion and $1.50 would buy a cup of coffee. John

    So sad...
    Hey guys...
This case is as sad as any I've ever heard or read about. Everytime time they show that precious child sitting in her high chair singing "You are my sunshine"..I literally well up with tears! When I sit and hold baby Lizzy I always think to myself.."how in Gods name could anyone EVER harm a precious innocent child?"!!! Heart breaking, just totally heartbreaking! Well...it will be interesting to see how her defense lawyer spins this case and all we can hope is that the jury doesn't buy into it. Got to just say a prayer that justice will be served. Take care friends...hope your all having a good week. My prayers are always with us all. Love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    Dear John,

I agree, as far as forgetting our illness for a small amount of time. Hey,
other things are happening in the world. This trial is driving me a bit
nuts. Yes, I agree with Sue. I am curious what the jury will come up with.
There is now a question about jurior # 4.

Sue, You put yourself out there
    Dear Sue,

You are so brave, going the extra mile giving your honest to God opinion.
I wanted to say the same exact thing. Thank you for posting what I was
    thinking.

Now there is a question about jurior # 4. She claims, she doesn't want
to judge anyone. You've got to be kidding. Why is she on the jury? I hear
she didn't want no part of the process. I understand she looks over at Casey
with a look of pity. I have no time to watch the court case on TV. I just
    watch the summation on TV.

I will keep everyone posted with my opinion only. I know a person is persumed
innocent. My opinion, not in this case.

Still love me guys. LOL Love Maggie

    On t.v
    Hi
I am sitting watching it in my classroom . The kids are gone for the year. I live about an hour and half from where they found her little body. I have never met anyone who thinks she is innocent in Florida. She is a pathological liar. It is so sad that she wasn't given to her parents or put up for adoption. It makes me sick.

    Dear Joanie,

Even though I live in the northeast, everyone, including myself is tuned into the TV this following this trial. Yes, no one, without a doubt believes she is innocent. If you
read my first post, I was a coward, wanting to text what the law says, everyone
    is persumed innocent.

I believe Dr G put the nail in Casey's coffin yesterday. I just hope if she is
found guilty, they might have say she had an incompetent defense. Drowned in
a swimming pool???, molested by her father and brother????, and her poor
father throwing the baby in the woods?????????. Where did the lawyer come up with
    this?????

    Stay tuned. Maggie

    Maggie,
Don't be surprised if the defense starts showing tears and saying "Casey had a bad childhood and never had a chance in life. She was so cofused and should be found innocent. We went back into her childhood and it was so heartbreaking".You don't know how many times I have heard that one. Remember I told you I had the opportunity to be in the right places at the right times before I retired. The sad thing is that tactic does work in a lot of cases.I just hope it does not in this case.
I know,Iknow,I am asking for it. I am just telling it like it is though. John

    Just A Ploy John
    Dear John,

I can't say my whole life revolves around this case, it doesn't. I just
want justice for Calley. I only watch updates from 8PM to 9PM EST Monday
through Friday. Yesterday, Saturday the weather was horrible. I went shopping,
came home, and somehow put Nancy Grace on. This time they showed more detailed
events from the prosecution and defense from the actual trial. I believe the
trial in on Court TV during the day. I am busy during the day, and have no time.

My impression is this: The defense has no way to go. Their defense is Casey
was molested, and Calley drowned in the swimming pool. Numerous prosecution
witnesses, including Dr. G knocked out that theory. I truly believe Casey's
attorney brought up the molestion theory with the father and brother. They
were well aware this would be part of the defense.

Gee Whiz, I believe I keep saying CASEY ANDERSON, INCORRECT. THE CORRECT NAME
    IS CASEY ANTHONY.

I know how hard it is to hear a defense attorney, especially in this case, to try
and get their client acquitted. Especially when everyone knows their client
is guilty. Considering everything in this case makes a person want to throw
up. It is difficult. But John, there are cases where an innocent person
is convicted. It is sad, because of their race, or lack of funds. The
prosecution is doing a great job. Let's hope he continues, especially when
the defense finally has their say in court.

What do you think John???? Stay well. Yes, it does feel good to post other
events in the mix of our DX.

Sending best wishes and love. Maggie

    Prosecution and defense
    Maggie,
You are right about some going to jail when they are innocent. This case with Casey Anthony is nothing but a circus.Something for the media to play with and give riches and publicity to the attorneys. The jurors will make their rounds on all the talk shows.I can see it now after this horrible case is over every attorney will have a book to sell. Movie producers will rush to get the rights for the film. It all boils down to money at someone elses expense and misery. John

    Dear John,

Right on with your comments. Already the defense preans himself outside the
court house with the reporters. Oh yes, jurors, all the attornney's, will sure
    make money off this case.

Money, money, and greed. That's the game for today. John, thanks for your comments,

They might. It was on FOX NEWS CHANNEL. They play things to death you know. They played it all this morning. Prosecution has rested its case. The Defense has requested an acquittal, but denied. Liberal stations will not play anything like that. John

    Today thursday
    Dear John,

It seems you and I are the only ones updating each day. That's OK, At least if
I miss something, you will let me know.

Today, I have so many things to do this morning. In the afternoon I am going
to the orthopedic doctor for a cortisone injection for my right knee. Funny,
I was going to cancel the appt for today, but a few days ago my right knee
    stared acting up again.

I was hoping to see the defense cry, but HLN didn't repeat the footage last night,
Wednesday.. I will have to check this evening for updates on today's trial, Thursday.
Now that the defense is starting today, I wonder if they will call this new mystery
witness. Phone calls between George Anthony and this convicted convict. According
to his attorney, George doesn't know him. Perhaps the calls were made in error. Since the
phone number some what matches George's new job.

Keep the emails coming. I look forward to them. Stay well John. By the way, what's up
    lately. Are you feeling ok?

I did not hear a lot yesterday about the Casey Anthony case. They shifted to Anthonys weiner now. A few months ago it was how much $ Bernie Madoff made off with. The news is like everything else. 1st things first
    Dear John,

John, that's great news John, you are feeling so much better. Yehhhhh.

John, it is 6:10AM, I have to run out this morning. A bunch of us are going
to Atlantic City in New Jersey for some gambling. I going feeling great. I am sure
when I return, I just might be a bit depressed. YOu know what I mean.

John, I had to leave a bit early yesterday. But, I still had time to put on Court TV for
about 1 hour. Even though the subject was cleared up when the prosecutor asked their witnesses, Baez questioned a serology expert. Indicating the brother, Lee Anthony, was
singled out for paternity tests. See below: I copied and pasted a short summary from
my AOL account. Hopefully I will return tonight early enough to find out what happened
today. Have a great day, and a good read.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Were you asked to conduct a paternity test for Lee Anthony as to being the potential father of Caylee Anthony," Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, asked serology expert Heather Seubert.

Seubert, who worked in the forensic DNA analysis unit at the FBI in 2008, said she was assigned to the Anthony case and examined several key pieces of evidence.

Prosecutor Jeff Ashton immediately objected to Baez's question and Judge Belvin Perry quickly sent jurors to lunch and called a sidebar with the attorneys.

Ashton argued the line of questioning was irrelevant and not in good faith. He said it implied that law enforcement had requested the test.

Baez and Ashton got into a heated exchange about the subject, at which time Perry told the two men to lower their voices.

    Story continues below
"I don't have a hearing problem and the amplification of questions, objections, I don't need them," Perry said.

Outside the presence of the jury, Seubert told Perry that Nick Savage, another FBI agent who was working on the case, asked her to conduct DNA tests in October 2008, to see if Anthony's brother, Lee Anthony, was Caylee's father.

Perry ultimately instructed Baez to revise his question and warned him not to ask questions that would lead to an inference. Perry added, "I'm not even going to venture a guess ... as to your motivation."

When the jury returned from lunch, the line of questioning continued.

"I wanted to ask you if you conducted, what would be considered a paternity test, to determine if Lee Anthony was the biological father of Caylee Anthony," Baez asked.

Seubert affirmed a DNA comparison had been made and replied, "Based on the STR typing results, the DNA obtained from ... Caylee Anthony could not have originated from a biological offspring of ... Lee Anthony."

Baez did not ask Seubert if the same test was conducted on Casey Anthony's father, George Anthony. As a result, jurors are unaware her father was also tested and excluded.
