Packing up my apartment here in Odessa moving to Houston next week lot on my plate next month got my 6 month scan coming up.
Got a shorter commute to Dallas now. Wahoo!!!
I'm excited almost forgot what a tree really looked like being in the desert for the last 3 years.

Yes sir I took one of those offers that you could not refuse. Best part the new companies health insurance starts the day I go to work.
Going to shake the dust off next week.

If the weather permits and stops raining 'buckets" each day I hope to get out and plant some flowers. If I had done so before now they would have been washed away!
I got started on my 'fun' for the weekend a little early. Daughter and I went to play bingo last night at the local fire house...and we both won a little to fund another bingo night!
May the sun shine on all of us and may there be many more Springs for all.
we're off to Salem, Massachussetts - the home of the American Witch Trials of the 1692.
Our future daughter-in-law is in the area for the month of May (as opposed to on the West Coast of the US) and we want to spend some time with her before she goes back.
However, David has been quite under the weather - weak, fevered, chills, and is just starting to feel better, so we may have to skip it.
with my horses trying to keep my mind off my first scan results(witch will be on monday)after 2 months of chemo.have a good weekend everyone...Godbless...johnnybegood
Johnny how is the baby doing?? I bet he's growing in leaps and bounds. I loved it when my foals got their legs under them and started to romp around....ahhhh the good old days :)
growing fast.we have got a halter on him and already leading him around the pen with a lead rope.life is still good when you have horses in it.horses leave hoofprints on your heart....Godbless...johnnybegood
I do envy you your horses. When I had mine, they felt every tear, every heartache, every angst of a teenager. I long to this day, especially more so now, to go out and wrap my arms around their neck and cry, my face going to and fro upon their neck. Yes, my horses felt my pain and joy back in the day, and eased the pain.

Weekend had a rough start, first with horrible traffic, such that it took us over 1 1/2 hours to travel 25 miles (40k) on a major highway (I-95). Then the room we booked smelled too much of cleaning fluids (so much that I could taste them) and there were no other rooms available. We'd had trouble finding one room, as this was a major college graduation weekend in the area. We finally found a room in a different town at around 9:30 at night. However, once we were settled in our new accommodations, everything else went well.
David was doing much better and we had a wonderful day on Saturday with our future daughter-in-law. Peabody-Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts is well worth the time. We went back for a few hours today - Dutch Masters exhibit.
the beach sounds like heaven. I live in pennsylvania and we have had rain for one solid week. But tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. Church and having coffee afterwards with my cousin and sunday there is a fine arts fiesta on our public square, I am taking 2 of my grandaughters
I actually live on the outskirts of the city, Bear Creek, at the foothills of the pocono mountains. Like 10 miles south of scranton, most people have heard of that
To get over last weeks fishing trip ,even on double dose anti-inflammatories I am a cripple by three in the afternoon. So naturally I accepted a mates invitation to go out again on Sunday. Perhaps one of the l/t side effects of chemo is to leave you mentally deficient or perhaps I was born that way:) Ron.
Different day same conditions. The guy who owns the boat got sick as a dog so I told him we should go home. Did not get thumped as bad but it was a 5m boat powered by a 115 yammy and had the potential to hurt me. Ron.
This is the first weekend that I have not had to plant anything. Thank God! So I happily say that I have no plans besides reading a book and drinking overly sweetened iced tea on my deck. I declare this a no makeup weekend!
This is a long weekend in Canada, May 24, I'm just wondering what are the "rules" regarding drinking alcohol and being on chemo??? There's gonna be bonfire, drinks, fireworks and b.b.q.. I wannna have some fun!!!
Bill and I are going to the farmers' market tomorrow morning. Then off to the Christian bookstore to get some stuff for church. After that I'm going to a dance recital that a lot of the young girls I know from church are in. I like to go support them in their effort. We've been invited to go see some friends in a band play tomorrow night, but we'll see how it goes.
Well daughter and grandchild moved in until her husband comes back from Afghanistan in about three weeks and then she is going to Hawaii to meet him. She will be staying here for a couple months. Yikes daughter and two grandkids. This is going to be a learning experience. Looking forward to it though. We have eight kids so when we finally had the last one leave, Walt and I were feeling no loss :) Loving every minute of quiet.
She seems to monitor everything that I'm eating. It's ok though, I'm going back into surgeon for flex sig on June 3 to see what is up with the pouch he made. Daughter wants to go with, but I'm saying no :)
Still waiting for results of blood tests. Not sure how long they take for results.
Well, I recently took on the task of sorting through the hundreds of DVD's and VHS tapes that we have collected over the years. I found many movies that were duplicated, so I'm going to take those to the used DVD store and trade them in for some new ones. We are real big on Westerns and have every movie made by John Wayne except for one which I'll get tomorrow. Just think, when I can no longer afford to have cable TV, I'll have plenty of movies to watch. I ended up with 4 copies of "Last Of The Mohicans"(my favorite movie). I kept buying them trying to get a full screen version, but, alas, they're all Widescreen. LOL
Do You remember was going to ask you for something?.Well let's go with the question. There is and old movie that I like very much , I know is not a great movie but I like it.It is " Man,s favorite sport" with Rock Hudson and Paula Prentis, don't know if you remember but was fun for me, it's a comedy about fishing , well the question :I always been attracted for the place where it was filmed , it's a nice lake with a very typical lodge from the 60,s.
In the movie was called lake "Waccapoudgie or so " but obviously that's not it's real name!.Cut not find any info in the Internet as it says that has been filmed mainly on an stage ,but obviously there is a real lake there so this lake must exist! .You great fisherman supporter!do you know where is it,or may be ask to some of your fishing friends if they know about?.I know it's a seally question but it's been something that I been trying to rearch since I was a kid!.Well sorry for put you this errand ! aahahaha. Just do what you can my dear friend!.
Hugs and have a great fishing!.
The lake in Man's Favorite Sport was Lake Waccapugi. It doesn't seem to be a real place. Here is a youtube clip from the movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFTfrSzLidQ
Don't know why but I'm obsessed with that particular place ,another place I'm obsessed are some locations of , is a mad, mad, mad world!,specially the curved road, the w tree park , and the airdrome ! you see similar movies similar ages! Silly !
In the category of just puttering around: I put a coat of tung oil finish on some eucalyptus lawn furniture, to keep it from getting that silvery gray weathered look that some people like, on teak or eucalyptus, but I don't care for.

Just out of curiosity, what part of PA do you live in? My wife is from the Oil City area, which is about 2 hours out of Pittsburgh.
Towns in the area are Venus, Clarion, and Franklin.

Now that the foods all prepped and the bloody mary and margarita mixes have been put together, I am taking a quick breather.
