Fat is one of the suspected cells for cancer. Fat already metamorphs into storage for sugars, water, etc....

I think in my very own humble pie opinion that cancer is rogue cells that go south when all the rest are going north and its one that never turns and goes with the flow. Being an outsider it does not comply with the fact that it is suppose to be destroyed by our immune systems. Maybe, just maybe, and this is strictly a guess, that somewhere along the lines all of us were stricken with some type of severe illness that allowed our bodys immune system to be compromised and at the exact same time we had rogue cells produced that the body simply could not kill off fast enough and they survived long enough to make dormancy. Then as they grew stronger and stronger in a dormant state they finally decided where ever they had gone dormant at decided to start growing and did so ever so slowly that nothing was detected and as it was it was termed as aging or aches and pains, yeah, it was aches and pains, but only was it far along before it started to give us trouble. Then and only then we went to see what was invading our lifestyle and viola, cancer is found.....but its only another opinion, one that I will not worry with, you see, we already had or have it so the need to worry is a mute point......and Tootsie, your way to cute and sweet to allow anything to bother you.......Big Smile Mrs Gail love to you.........buzz

The reason I say this is my neighbor's daughter in law was in remission from breast cancer for 19 years. She passed away, age 50, from metastatic breast cancer, it had metastized to her brain after 19 years. She did not have brain cancer, but breast in the brain but no where else. She started getting headaches, and soon got the diagnosis. She opted to not treat, brain surgry and radiation and the odds were given to her and she said thanks, but no thanks. She did all her routine testing without fail and yet, it came back. How or why this happened, the doctors had no answer, it just did.

Because my SIL was just diagnosed with mets to her bones, lymph nodes and lungs from her breast cancer of 15 years ago this past month.
Their giving her hormones to try out for the first couple of months, then chemo if it doesn't. She had just been told 3 weeks before that she was still NED from her oncologist. But she had a lingering cough she couldn't get rid of and they thought it was pneumonia. Unfortunately it was the mets to lungs. No answers as to why, it just did. It sucks.
