You're like a Friday fixture now was worried when your usual post didn't show, glad it did. :-) No plans tomorrow, if I'm not so tired coffee with a friend on Sunday. Black swan is a good film, do you want me to tell you the end? Ok well.... hehe wont spoil it.
Pepe what happens is...lol ok, ok. Anyone else want the ending pm me. lol
Hehe check you out giving me tips for tomorrow. :-p Ermm I'm to old Pepe feet can't take it anymore, damn still have excuse of the car. Will see, and if I do anything will report back.
We are suppose to have some rain this weekend so I'll probably just opt for some TV and a good book, maybe some vidoe games with my son. My dog doesn't like to walk in the rain and I'm not going to be carrying her fat little butt for a walk so that's out for the weekend. I'll probably just watch some recorded exercise show and play along with them. I'm taking an easy does it weekend.
Going to Utrecht early tomorrow for first a swapmeet, and then to visit with some family of my beau's. Last visit, I gave them a muffin cookbook, and promised to bake one recipe from it...so, I will go, blueberry muffins in hand!
Sunday, north Holland to a swap meet in Leeuwaarden and then to an auction viewing...WHEW! Just filled the tank (normal 15 gallon tank)....86 Euros! (118.00 American dollars....)...
Gasoline: are you saying it to me? hahahahaha remember we are in the same Union? SemiCountry? whatever it is this mess! So prces are almost the same 1.30€ today and the funny: taxes are 0.80 € , so Americans you are fortunate!.
Hugs!
I was super passed over for a promotion. I think I will drink a couple of beers and go voodoo doll shopping (darn I don't live in that part of the country) I guess I will have to do some serious daydreaming about it.
Remember it was my old job Kenny!
Hugs!.
If you are interested search for "Marina Barcelona 92" in the Internet , I was the CEO there for nearly. 15 years!

You mean Ship yard ,or Back yard? sorry as I know you are involved in both boating and gardening !
Hugs!
Very interesting! I knew that you love ships and boats! ( My son who knows nothing about ships is learning to be a US Coast Guard Ship Inspector. He inspects mostly passenger ships at this time. I have suddenly beome much more interested in ships as my son was sent for training on The US Coast Guard Eagle...a Tall Ship and he was also sent out on a huge commercial container ship for a trip to Alaska, Japan, Korea and China! )
Do you get out on the water yourself?? I have never been much for boating!
Ohh... good movie, Pepe.... very dark, very intense, excellent dancing/choreography. Will keep the rest of my review until after you've seen it ;)
Me... I thought I was going to have to curl up in bed again today after last night ;) I realized I was dizzy/lightheaded this past 11 days because of the total lack of nourishment I was taking in. A bland white toast/white rice diet can only go so far. So last night I ordered in some Chinese food... I thought was tame (won ton soup, egg foo yung and white rice). Haha!! Obviously not bland enough. Have been up most of the night. All is under control at the moment.
The sun is out... it is absolutely gorgeous out there! Sooooo, I am going to see about running a few errands.... picking up my new wigs which it looks like I won't be actually needing for some time, but can use them for fun :) Also... I do need to make a trip to the bank and the grocery store.... even if I'm not eating real food, I think I'd like to have some choices on hand, just to daydream about .
I'm also going to take my camera with me.... chances are I won't be out that long but you just never know when I might run into a stupendous Kodak moment :)
That's because of chemo?, it's been always the same for you while on chemo or is just since you restarted it? well ...hope you can eat something more appetizing very soon!.
Hugs!.
Eating has NEVER been a problem for me ... as you can probably tell from my pictures. I have always had a healthy appetite and cancer/chemo has never ever interferred nor have I ever lost weight because of it (if anything, gaining is not a problem even though I don't want to).
It's just been since starting this new (to me) chemo - Irinotecan. It is EVIL EVIL EVIL!! It is as bad as a strong dose of Oxypilatin, except without the cold sensitivity or neuropathy problems. It made me sooooo nauseas and then completely twisted my intestines inside out and into knots that anything I put in my mouth would instantly turn into explosive slush. Pain like you wouldn't believe, to the point I couldn't eat and of course lost my appetite. But of course, you have to get some kind of fuel... so was on a purely bland "white" diet. Rice and white toast was about all I could handle... for 11 days straight!
I think I may have accomplished the impossible... I think I may have actually lost a bunch of weight this past 11 days :)
Today, around 3pm, it was like a switch was turned.... I immediately felt GREAT!! No pain, no feeling like my intestines were in knots, no spasms, no cramping, no nausea. I was back to being myself.... it's now almost 7pm.... 4 hours of pure bliss and no pain. I'm sooooo happy :)
But now... to get back on topic.... the weekend.... did I mention I have tickets to go see a fantastic male accapella group (Straight No Chaser) on Sunday night? I have excellent seats... 6th row, in the centre, on an aisle. For those of you who may not have heard of his group, check them out here:
Have a wonderful time at the concert. I bought one of their Christmas Albums as a gift for a friend several years ago, but kept it for myself! They are so good! ( I might be biased as they were originally formed as an Indiana University singing group....My husband and I met at and graduated from Indiana University )
after some good naturopathy posts here i have three appointments in next 6 days.
trying to fight diarrhea a little more naturally with digestive enzymes, anti diarrhea drops.
so far so good, my numb feet feel so strange to walk on, but i swear the tingling seemed to go away after a good hours walk. slept alot today, been wiped out.
did spend a few hours patching up our back fence this afternoon where my clever and adventurous dogs love to escape.
Hi,
I started the weekend on Friday Stand Up Paddling in the bay. It is a gorgeous weekend. Gonna be on the water and then tonight we have a neighborhood Seafood party!
thought i was fishing this weekend, instead I will be working some Overtime to try and pay for this...PS ..don't look at prices for lower units for 150 hp motors...ouch !!!
other than that , Belated Valentines dinner being prepared and cooked by the men of the church for our wives and girlfriends today.......starts at 5......have a great weekend everyone.......buzz
Btw who is the man of the church ?a Minister,a priest , a pastor? What about his gastronomic skills ? Hahaha!
Hugs and enjoy dinner and forget about the repair for a moment!
Buzz,
Our boat is being worked on right now. We got a pretty good ding in it. It's kinda good since no one wants to do house work when it's nice and the boats in the water. Needless to say, the laundry is done and the house looks good.
Will go in on Wed for a lookse on the cecum. Showed a small mass which is strange since my CEA is 2.5. Surgeon said 2-4 weeks recovery depending on what he has to do. So we tore up the slopes and now my muscles are so sore but worth it! I am considering the season complete unless the recovery goes quick and then I can ski the last couple weeks of the season!
It was supposed to be a chemo weekend for me but I had a schedule change a couple of weeks ago -- so I got to use my tickets to see ERIC CLAPTON LIVE! It was wonderful. I danced in the aisle.....Can I say I danced with Eric Clapton?!?!
Thought I might try and "Live" for a few hours today.
Scrubbed off the patio and picked up the backyard - gonna' fire up the grill and watch the Great American Race, the Daytona 500.
Weather is calm and overcast here in Texas, about 65 degrees, so sitting outside watching the race on tv will be a nice change for me - gotta' break out of those 4 walls, you know.
Craig,
That sounds like a great day! I hope what you're grilling is delicious and that your guy wins! Enjoy being outdoors. I'll be thinking about you.
Yes, the sun is out, the mountains are sparkling and covered in snow at the top, the water is blue and calm. When you look out the window, it looks like you could just walk out in flip-flops and summer attire... only problem, it's a might bit chilly . I think the sun is warming things up now (11am) so we may have hit 32F .... think I might wear a coat, just to be on the safe side :)
I am going to get out and run a few weekend errands that I didn't do yesterday. Then I'll bring the car home, put it to bed, get changed and take a taxi downtown. I'll be meeting a gal pal and we are going to grab a bite to eat (fingers crossed that all stays where it should) and then... ta da... off we go to see the Straight No Chaser concert!! I'm sooooo looking forward to it... they are sooooo good!!
I SHOULD do a few Publicity related chores on the computer.... but I'm feeling a tad lazy today and am using the excuse that it's Sunday... why should I be working on a Sunday??? :D Besides.... the show from heck opened last night, so I am no longer going to put energy into that one. Well, the show itself is fine and I'm sure the cast is fine too... but both the director and producer were THE most uncooperative people I have ever had to work with. They wouldn't give an inch, they wouldn't give me any information, and anything I requested in the way of staged promo pics, etc., they refused to do. Why... I have no idea. I have no idea why both a producer and a director would want to sabatage their own production. Suffice it to say... that production will be getting no more help from me... on to the next one which is already getting LOTS of PR (gee, might it have something to do with everyone is being so cooperative?). 42nd STREET, here we come!! :D
