Who is it?
Fear
Fear who?
Fear to trust your body after cancer.

Sounds familiar? Every ache, every pain can set you off and send your
thoughts spinning in circles. My sinus problems have returned, they
brought along the usual suspects ear and lung infections. So it's hard
not to go there.... but I managed, I am a creative person after all.
Then last week 6 months after I saw my pulmonary specialist,
I get something in the mail asking that I call them asap. OF COURSE my
heart dropped all the way in my shoes. After being on hold for over 20
minutes, I was an anxious bundle by now. I got to talk to someone who knew
what the note was all about. He saw something on my lung. So I am terrified
as you can imagine. But I stay busy, busy planning, busy working busy
enjoying my life, my puppy and my freddy (:
But facts catch up and I am going to have a pet scan on Monday. As you can
imagine I would like company, none other than the company of my fearless pink
sisters who just know how to make me feel alright when fear comes'a knocking.

    6 months ago you saw your pulmonary specialist, and recent received a letter
    to call the office ?? How unfair -- I want to go on a rant regarding the 6
    months lapse, but I am sure you have been there, done that!

    Keeping yourself busy and entertained is pretty much all you can do until Monday -- Grrr. I am so sorry that you find yourself pulled in various emotional directions, dear Ayse.
    Remember -- Life is good, Life is great -- hold on to this, Freddy, work and your new puppy. You body continues to recover from your breast cancer journey, your move back
    East from Arizona, your long awaited trip back home, and getting your groove back!
    I am praying your new scans - are clear. ... and, that there are no more interruptions in your 'life'.

    You have been thru so much, endured each and every obstacle with Sass, and finesse - I
    so admire you!

    I will be there Monday driving our Pink Bus -- stitches, and all! I would not miss this
    bus ride -- by the way, can you pick me up a hot pastrami on rye for the trip.

    Ayse I'll will most certainly be on that pink bus with brownies and hot cocoa to warm the soul. Prayers in abundance are being lifted for you my friend! It is a good thing that your medical team has sounded the alert it means they are diligent when caring for you! I agree I too worry with every ache or pain but over the years I have come to the conclusion that that worry voice is my inner angel as it keeps me aware and it keeps me diligent in my own care. So what if I go to the dr being a pain in the butt insisting I be checked out if it is going to keep me alive and give me peace of mind. Hang in there Ayse and know that you are not alone you are loved and you have our support!

    I am so sorry hat you are back on the bus. It seems to be a ride that we take too often once we are initiated into the world of the pinks. Hopefully you are getting some unusually warm weather to make the keeping busy easier when you can just get out and about.
    I just don't get the long wait between the test and notifying you to come in. But I am glad that they are following through. Makes me think they saw something when they took the test and made note to do a follow up in 6 months. If this is the case, it gave you six months of no worry!
    Know that I will be on the bus with you, you have been such an inspiration in my travels this last year as well as for eveeryone else here. Will be praying all week that this is just to be on the safe side. Remember we are all with you all week, not just Monday.

    I haven't been around much but all are in my prayers always. It's sad to see that so many are needing the bus lately.

    but, I know you and you can do this. Afterall, you're in your element now. You're back east, with a new puppy, Freddy and, afterall--you're you! I'm assuming this is some scar tissue from your ongoing infections in the past.

    The thing I hate most is that this is messing with your peace of mind. I can't wait to see your post that all is well. I'll be channeling that and praying for it.

    I am on that bus! Until then, my thoughts and prayers are with you. The weather is wonderful - I hope you can enjoy it with Freddy and the puppy. It's so hard not to think about things, but I do hope you can set your mind on other things.
